Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing super well, on this occasion, I want to share with you all a new review, I will talk about the anime: "Fate / Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia". Okay, okay, bear with me – I know some of you might be looking weird because “Fate” can be kind of… intimidating… but trust me on this one, even if you’re not a huge Fate fan, you can dive right in, and honestly, maybe you should. First things first, let’s get the Fate elephant out of the room. Yes, Babylonia is a spin-off, it’s part of this giant, long-winded saga, and honestly, trying to explain the entire Fate timeline is like trying to untangle the headphones you’ve had in your pocket for a year. It’s complicated. BUT, the great thing about Babylonia is that it’s way easier to get into than it looks. I mean, if you’ve seen something like “Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works” or even “Fate/Zero” – those are like the gateways to the Fate world, then you’re set. If not, just knowing the basic lingo – Masters, Servants, mana, Holy Grails, all that stuff – obviously. which helps and makes the experience more complete, but if you only know more or less what a Servant is, don’t get too worked up, the anime actually does a pretty decent job of bringing you up to speed within the story itself.

They don’t just throw you in the water without a life jacket… the main idea is just interesting, like, imagine this: humanity is about to go to hell, right? Like, end of the world, history is being rewritten, that level of disaster… the only ones who can fix things are this organization called Chaldea (think of them as… time police, but way cooler) and you, the last Master… well, technically, one of the last Masters, you and Mash, this Demi-Servant girl who is really cool, have to time travel to different moments in history, these “singularities”, to fix the whole mess… sounds kind of normal, right? But suddenly, boom! Babylonia takes you to ANCIENT MESOPOTAMIA.

Hola a todos, espero que estén súper bien, en esta ocasión, quiero compartir con todos ustedes una nueva reseña, les hablaré del anime: "Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia". A ver, a ver, respiren conmigo – ya sé que algunos estarán poniendo cara rara porque "Fate", puede ser medio… intimidante la onda.. pero confíen en mí con esta, incluso si no son mega fans de Fate, se pueden meter de cabeza, y honestamente, tal vez hasta deberían, primero lo primero, saquemos el elefante de Fate de la habitación, sí, Babylonia es un spin-off, es parte de esta saga gigante y re-larga, y la verdad, intentar explicar toda la línea de tiempo de Fate es como querer desenredar los audífonos que llevas en el bolsillo por un año, es complicado, PERO, lo genial de Babylonia es que es mucho más fácil de entrar de lo que parece, o sea, si ya vieron algo como "Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works" o hasta "Fate/Zero" – esas son como las entradas al mundo Fate, entonces están listos, y si no, con solo saber la jerga básica – Masters, Servants, maná, Santos Griales, toda esa movida – obvio que ayuda y hace que la experiencia sea más completa, pero si solo saben más o menos qué es un Servant, no se hagan drama, el anime la verdad que hace un trabajo bastante decente poniéndolos al día dentro de la misma historia.

No te tiran al agua sin salvavidas.. la idea principal es simplemente interesante, a ver, imagínense esto: la humanidad está a punto de irse al carajo, ¿verdad? En plan, fin del mundo, la historia se está reescribiendo, ese nivel de desastre.. los únicos que pueden arreglar el mambo son esta organización que se llama Chaldea (piensen en ellos como… policías del tiempo, pero mucho más cool) y tú, el último Master… bueno, técnicamente, uno de los últimos Masters, tú y Mash, esta chica Demi-Servant que es genial, tienen que viajar en el tiempo a diferentes momentos de la historia, estas "singularidades", para arreglar todo el bardo.. suena medio normal, ¿no? ¡Pero de repente, boom! Babylonia te lleva a LA ANTIGUA MESOPOTAMIA.

We'll meet Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes himself!! How epic does that sound? Instead of a typical European setting, you're immediately thrown into this ancient world, full of myths, and it blows your mind... it's not the Gilgamesh you might know from "Unlimited Blade Works." This is... a different kind of game, more mature, more like a king, less like the insufferable conceited guy we sometimes see... don't get me wrong, he still has that big-time Gilgamesh vibe, but here he seems deeper, kind of tired, you know? It's a super interesting way to show the character, and honestly, for me, one of the best things about the entire series. Seeing how he evolves, how he interacts with everyone—especially Enkidu, but we'll get to that—was incredible... he's not just some super-powerful golden guy anymore; he truly feels like a king ruling a kingdom on the brink. And speaking of kingdoms on the brink... hold on because the GODDESSES are coming! This anime is FULL of powerful and legendary goddesses, it turns out that, in Mesopotamia, there is an alliance of super-powerful goddesses that are basically trying to wipe humanity off the map… what an epic scale… we are not just fighting against random monsters, no! We are facing LITERAL DEITIES! And the goddesses themselves? They are… another level, first, we have Ishtar.

Oh, Ishtar.. imagine a goddess who is like a tsundere Rin Tohsaka cosplayer, yes, that is exactly Ishtar.. she thinks she is the best, “I am a goddess, I am amazing, kneel down”, but inside, she is… well, let’s just say she has her moments, she is kind of a “useless goddess” in some things, obsessed with jewels and treasures, but she becomes a key ally, and her scenes are hilarious and sometimes they even touch your heart. Then we have Quetzalcoatl, who is… ugh! What an incredible personality! She’s pure wrestling and good vibes, she radiates incredible energy, then… then there’s Tiamat, chills, people, Tiamat is next level… she’s not just another goddess; she’s a primordial, monstrous force of nature itself, the intensity of her threat is insane, and the way she’s portrayed in the anime is truly scary. These goddesses aren’t paper villains; they have their own twists, their own personalities, and they add an incredible layer of epic fantasy to the whole plot… it’s not just Servants fighting anymore; now it’s fighting against the forces of creation itself!

Conoceremos a Gilgamesh, el mismísimo Rey de los Héroes!! ¿Qué tan épico suena eso? En vez del típico lugar europeo, de una te tiran a este mundo antiguo, lleno de mitos, y es que te deja loco.. no es el Gilgamesh que quizás conocen de "Unlimited Blade Works". Este es… otro rollo, más maduro, más rey, menos el creído insoportable que a veces vemos.. no me malinterpreten, todavía tiene esa onda de Gilgamesh agrandado, pero acá se ve más profundo, como cansado, ¿saben? Es una forma súper interesante de mostrar al personaje, y la verdad, para mí, de lo mejor de toda la serie, ver cómo evoluciona, cómo interactúa con todos – sobre todo con Enkidu, pero ya llegaremos a eso – fue increíble.. ya no es solo un tipo dorado superpoderoso; de verdad se siente como un rey gobernando un reino al borde del abismo. Y hablando de reinos al borde del abismo… agárrense porque vienen DIOSAS! Este anime está LLENO de diosas poderosísimas y legendarias, resulta que, en Mesopotamia, hay una alianza de diosas re-poderosas que básicamente están intentando borrar a la humanidad del mapa.. menuda escala épica.. no estamos peleando solo contra monstruos random, ¡no! ¡Estamos enfrentándonos a DEIDADES LITERALES! ¿Y las diosas en sí? Son… otro nivel, primero, tenemos a Ishtar.

Ay, Ishtar.. imagínense una diosa que es como una cosplayer tsundere de Rin Tohsaka, sí, así mismito es Ishtar.. ella se cree lo máximo, "soy una diosa, soy increíble, arrodíllense", pero por dentro, ella es… bueno, digamos que tiene sus momentos, es medio "diosa inútil" en algunas cosas, obsesionada con joyas y tesoros, pero se vuelve una aliada clave, y sus escenas son graciosísimas y a veces hasta te tocan el corazón. Después tenemos a Quetzalcoatl, que es ¡ufff! ¡Qué personalidad tan increíble! Ella es lucha libre pura y buena onda, irradia una energía increíble, luego… después está Tiamat, escalofríos, gente, Tiamat es otro level.. no es solo una diosa más; es una fuerza primordial, monstruosa de la naturaleza misma, lo intenso de su amenaza es una locura, y cómo la muestran en el anime da miedo de verdad. Estas diosas no son villanas de papel; tienen sus rollos, sus personalidades, y le dan una capa increíble de fantasía épica a toda la trama.. ya no es solo de Servants peleando; ahora es luchar contra las fuerzas de la creación misma!

People, now let’s talk about the visuals… wow, the animation in Babylonia is out of this world… CloverWorks, the studio that made it, really nailed it! The fight scenes? Absolutely insane, they’re so dynamic, so fluid, so… impactful, you feel every blow, every clash of swords, every explosion of mana, the thing is they’re not copying Ufotable’s style – you know, the studio that made “Unlimited Blade Works” and “Fate/Zero” with that beautiful, almost painting-like animation, CloverWorks created its own, unique style, and it suits it PERFECTLY! It’s still Fate, obviously, you can tell at first glance, but it has its own flavor, its own strength… it’s like they took the best of Fate’s animation and took it to the highest level,

Now… there is a small “but”… and that’s the CGI… yes, the dreaded CGI… most of the animation is crazy good, but when they have to animate HUGE ARMIES of enemies or those giant, godlike creatures, sometimes they go for CGI, and… there it can slip a little… sometimes it looks good, sometimes it looks… let’s just say it’s not the prettiest thing in the world. Especially when you have those huge CGI monsters interacting with characters that are hand-drawn, beautiful… there it kind of clashes a little. It’s not horrible CGI, mind you, but it’s noticeable and it kind of throws you off at times, but honestly, even with the CGI issues, the overall quality of the animation is so high, and the action is always so amazing, that it’s really a minimal complaint, you know what I mean?

What did surprise me a lot, is how much I ended up growing attached to the supporting characters. I went in thinking it was going to be all about Gilgamesh and the goddesses, but the anime really spends a lot of time developing characters like Leonidas, Ushiwakamaru, and especially Siduri. Leonidas is this tough, stoic Spartan who won’t back down from his duty no matter what, Ushiwakamaru is this super energetic, almost childlike warrior with genius speed and loyalty… but Siduri… her story really touched my soul. At first, she seems like just another character in the background, Gilgamesh's loyal secretary, but as things progress, you see her strength, her kindness, her total devotion to her people and to Gilgamesh. Seriously, these characters, even the ones who aren't the main ones, have their moments to shine, their own mini-stories, and that makes everyone feel so much more complete and touch your heart more.

Gente, ahora, hablemos de los visuales.. wow, la animación en Babylonia es de otro planeta.. CloverWorks, el estudio que la hizo,¡se mandó un 10! ¿Las escenas de pelea? Absolutamente demenciales, son tan dinámicas, tan fluidas, tan… impactantes,entís cada golpe, cada choque de espadas, cada explosión de maná, la onda es que no están copiando el estilo de Ufotable – ya saben, el estudio que hizo "Unlimited Blade Works" y "Fate/Zero" con esa animación hermosa, casi como una pintura, CloverWorks creó su propio estilo, único, y le queda ¡PERFECTO! Sigue siendo Fate, obvio, se nota al toque, pero tiene su propio sabor, su propia fuerza.. es como si hubieran agarrado lo mejor de la animación de Fate y lo hubieran llevado al máximo nivel.

Ahora, OJO… hay un pequeño "pero".. y es el CGI.. sí, el temido CGI.. la mayor parte de la animación es una locura de buena, pero cuando tienen que animar EJÉRCITOS ENORMES de enemigos o esas criaturas gigantes, como divinas, a veces se van por el CGI, y… ahí puede patinar un poquito.. a veces se ve bien, a veces se ve… digamos que no es lo más lindo del mundo. Sobre todo cuando tienes esos monstruos CGI enormes interactuando con personajes que están dibujados a mano, preciosos.. ahí como que choca un poquito. No es CGI horrible, aclaro, pero se nota, y a veces te saca un poco de onda, pero honestamente, incluso con esos temas del CGI, la calidad general de la animación es tan alta, y la acción es tan increíble siempre, que es una queja mínima, ¿me entienden?

Lo que sí me sorprendió un montón, fue cuánto terminé encariñándome con los personajes secundarios.. yo entré pensando que todo iba a ser sobre Gilgamesh y las diosas, pero el anime de verdad le dedica un buen tiempo a desarrollar personajes como Leonidas, Ushiwakamaru y sobre todo Siduri.. Leonidas es un espartano duro, estoico, que no se mueve de su deber ni a palos, Ushiwakamaru es esta guerrera súper enérgica, casi como una niña, con una velocidad y una lealtad genial.. pero Siduri… su historia de verdad que me llegó al alma. Al principio, parece un personaje más ahí, de fondo, la secretaria leal de Gilgamesh, pero a medida que avanza la cosa, ves su fuerza, su bondad, su devoción total a su gente y a Gilgamesh. En serio, estos personajes, hasta los que no son los principales, tienen sus momentos para brillar, sus propias mini-historias, y eso hace que todo el mundo se sienta mucho más completo y te llegue más al corazón.

The soundtrack in general is great, it really sets the mood... But the endings and openings... wow, especially the second ending theme, "Prover?" It's incredible, the music is beautiful, melancholic, and the visuals, the transitions, how they use the backgrounds to tell a story on their own... it's crazy good. Seriously, whoever put together those endings deserves a raise, they're not just credits you just roll; they're true works of art that add a lot to how the series makes you feel. Now, let's talk about the topic that no one wants to talk about, or rather, Ritsuka in the room... yeah, a lot of people don't like Ritsuka, the main character... they call him "empty," "boring," "generic harem protagonist."

And... well, I mean, I get it, he's not like he's the most dynamic or proactive character in the world... he's like... there, things happen around him, and he reacts. He's not like a Shirou Emiya or a Kiritsugu Emiya, characters with strong motivations and internal issues. Ritsuka is... Ritsuka... yeah, obviously there's a bit of that "goddesses falling in love with the bland protagonist" cliché. There's definitely a touch of fan service to it, and if that's not your thing, I understand why it bothers you, but honestly, it didn't really get me that far... I saw Ritsuka more as a character you could relate to, someone the audience could project themselves into... plus, the focus is really on Gilgamesh, the goddesses, and the supporting characters at the end of the day. Ritsuka's just... just along for the ride.

Fate/Grand Order Babylonia I LOVED, it’s probably my favorite Fate anime so far, the Mesopotamian setting is incredible, Gilgamesh is the best, the goddesses are epic, the animation is amazing (mostly), the supporting characters are really well done, the CGI is kind of meh at times, and Ritsuka is… well, Ritsuka, but those are small details compared to what is an absolutely fantastic anime. If I had to give it a score? Honestly, I’m going with a solid 9/10. It’s just… that good.. if you’re already a Fate fan, you HAVE to check this out.. if you’re curious about Fate, Babylonia is a great place to start, even if you only have a basic idea of ​​the universe, prepare to have your mind blown by the visuals, the action, and how epic it all is.. and that’s all for today, see you in the next reviews, take care, bye!

La banda sonora en general está genial, de pana que crea el ambiente.. Pero los endings, y openings.. uf, Especialmente el segundo tema de cierre, "¿Prover?" Es increíble, la música es hermosa, melancólica, y las imágenes, las transiciones, cómo usan los fondos para contarte una historia por sí solos… es una locura de bueno. De verdad, quien haya armado esos finales merece un aumento de sueldo, no son solo créditos que pasas así nomás; son obras de arte de verdad que le suman un montón a lo que te hace sentir la serie. Ahora, hablemos del tema que nadie quiere tocar, o mejor dicho, del Ritsuka en la habitación.. sí, a mucha gente no le cae bien Ritsuka, el prota.. le dicen "vacío", "soso", "protagonista genérico de harem".

Y… bueno, a ver, lo entiendo, no es que sea el personaje más dinámico ni el más proactivo del mundo.. él está como… ahí, las cosas pasan a su alrededor, y él reacciona. No es como un Shirou Emiya o un Kiritsugu Emiya, personajes con motivaciones fuertes y rollos internos. Ritsuka es… Ritsuka.. sí, obvio que está un poco ese cliché de "diosas enamorándose del prota soso". Definitivamente, tiene su toque de fan service, y si eso no te va, entiendo que te moleste, pero honestamente, a mí, no me bajó tanto la onda.. yo vi a Ritsuka más como un personaje para que te identifiques, alguien donde la audiencia se puede proyectar.. además, el foco está puesto de verdad en Gilgamesh, las diosas y los personajes secundarios al final de cuentas. Ritsuka está solo… acompañando el viaje.

Fate/Grand Order Babylonia" me ENCANTÓ, tal vez es mi anime favorito de Fate hasta ahora, el ambiente de Mesopotamia es increíble, Gilgamesh es lo máximo, las diosas son épicas, la animación es alucinante (casi siempre), los personajes secundarios están súper bien hechos, el CGI a veces es medio meh, y Ritsuka es… bueno, Ritsuka, pero son detalles pequeños comparado con lo que es un anime absolutamente fantástico. ¿Si tuviera que darle una puntuación? Honestamente, me voy con un sólido 9/10. Es que es… así de bueno.. si ya son fans de Fate, TIENEN que ver esto.. si les da curiosidad Fate, Babylonia es un lugar genial para empezar, incluso si solo tienen una idea básica del universo, prepárense para que les vuele la cabeza con los visuales, la acción y lo épico que es todo..y esto es todo por hoy, nos veremos en las próximas reseñas cuidense mucho, byebye!
