The truth is that the film caught my attention just because of the curiosity of seeing how Finn Wolfhard handled directing (in the end it will be better that he stays acting in Stranger Things), but with what you have said, my desire has suddenly gone away.
Look, I'm usually quite tolerant of bad slashers because they're fun to pass the time, but if it fails in the basics like tension or deaths, turn it off and let's go. Thanks for the sacrifice and the warning, definitely crossed off the list!
