RE: MOVIE REVIEW: “Watcher” (2022)

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I didn't know it before, but the truth is, the premise of feeling watched in a new country, where you don't even speak the language, is already hair-raising! I find it super interesting how they explore that sense of paranoia, and on top of that, the husband begins to doubt her sanity—that always adds more tension! But the idea of the obsession with the unknown and the atmosphere you describe, with those pale colors and the photography, sounds like it could be visually very successful. Thanks for the detailed analysis! You've got me thinking.

This is the kind of movie that relies on a visceral kind of paranoia, substantially increasing the level of suspense until its final act.

It's definitely something worth watching.
