Oh, what a beautiful book. You have no idea how much I want to have it just from the description. I've never read anything by Ursula K. Le Guin, but from what you're saying, it sounds like she's an incredible author, one of those who captivates you... the idea of "winning" the book by doing charity work... it's a lovely gesture! Honestly, I think it's a very nice way to give more value to something that is already a treasure.

Check your local library. Maybe they offer books written by Ursula K. Le Guin or Anne McCaffrey. These ladies were writing beautiful fantasy stories before the genre became mainstream !LOLZ
