Unexpected Moments and Ocean Breezes: My Day at Bugnaw Si-e’s Public Beach
Hello, Hiverians!
I'm Jess from the beautiful country of the Philippines. This is my first time sharing an experience here, and I’m excited to be part of this amazing community. I hope you'll support me on this journey!
One of the best things I can share here is my journey into nature, which has always been close to my heart. I’m truly grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way. Most of my adventures have been filled with blessings and unexpected surprises.
Today, I’d like to share my experience at Bugnaw Si-e Resort—but this time, it’s not about the resort itself. It’s about a public beach right beside it that captured my heart in its own simple, beautiful way.
So here’s how the story began. It was a Sunday afternoon, and I had planned to head home. But then, an unexpected opportunity came up. I messaged Ate Jean and asked if they were going to Stampa—a mountain restaurant with a beautiful view and a scenic view deck.
Instead, she replied that they were heading to the beach because her nephew wanted to go. The funny thing is, I teased her by asking if I could join—but then I unsent the message! Ate Jean noticed and asked me about it, and that’s how it all started. She said I could come along, and just like that, the journey began.
As we arrived at the beach—phew! There were so many people enjoying the day. Families, couples, and lots of playful kids were all around, soaking up the sun and the sea. I took this photo while chilling, just feeling the beautiful moment with my feet in the sand—haha!
These kids are Ate Jean’s niece and nephew—meet Qwyn Amari and Qing Axl. Such unique and beautiful names, right? They totally enjoyed the beach—swimming, floating, and playing in the sand. It was such a great day for them; they truly had the best time!
We had our 0.5 groufie while sitting and relaxing as soon as we arrived. We were just watching the kids happily enjoying the moment. On the other side, we were waiting for the sun to go down so we could finally swim—without worrying about getting sunburned, haha! We were also enjoying our snacks, though I completely forgot to take any photos—oops!
I even took my own 0.5 selfie—haha! Just a happy, beautiful, young-at-heart version of me enjoying the moment. I’m deeply grateful for this unexpected opportunity. It’s little moments like these that fill my heart with joy. 💛
We strolled around with Zaila, Ate Jean’s eldest niece. We were trying to capture the moment when the sunset came back out so we could take some nice photos and strike a few poses. Thankfully, it did—and we didn’t waste the opportunity! We took a photo right there, though our poses were a bit on the shy side—haha!
This was the best part—the water was truly blue and clear, with no seaweeds at all, unlike the other side. I would’ve loved to swim here, but you know... I don’t really know how to swim—haha! So instead, I just took a photo with this beautiful spot as my background.
I chose joy over worry—and in that moment, it felt like I was free from all the negativities in life. Just pure peace and happiness.
Watching the sunset and playing with its glow felt like it touched something deep in my heart. I think my face in this photo says it all—it's the perfect expression of how that moment truly felt. 😊
This is me, playing like a kid—haha! But honestly, I was just enjoying the moment, splashing around in the ocean water while the camera captured it all. My smile definitely says it all—it shows just how happy I truly was
Just look at the ocean—so blue, so calm, and so refreshingly cold. I couldn’t help but admire its beauty and stillness. There were so many people swimming far out into the water… except for me—because, honestly, I don’t really know how to swim in the first place—haha!
It was almost time to go home. We were all packed up, ready to leave with all our belongings and things. Zaila and I sat at the back, taking care of everything we had with us.
While waiting at the back, I took a picture of the view at night here in Bugnaw Si-e. The matching lights and beautiful scenery made it so peaceful. I think it was around 6 PM, and the calmness of that evening really stayed with me.
As the day came to an end, I felt deeply grateful for this unexpected adventure and the simple joys that nature offered. One special moment was renting a big floater and drifting out into the middle of the ocean, where the water was really deep. Since I don’t know how to swim, I held onto the floater the whole time, lying back to watch the sky and enjoy the peacefulness of being surrounded by water. Even though I was a little scared, I silently thanked the Lord for this beautiful first-time experience.
From the laughter of the kids playing on the shore to the calm ocean view at sunset, this day reminded me that sometimes the best moments are the unplanned ones. I look forward to more journeys that fill my heart with gratitude and wonder. Thank you for sharing this special day with me!
That’s all for today! Thanks so much for bearing with me and stopping by to read my story. Until next time—take care and stay inspired!
