Hello, fellow Hiverians!

How are you all doing? I hope you're having a great day. This is Jess, and I just wanted to share some snapshots from what I’d call a truly wonderful day.

Once upon a time, I woke up because of a sinus allergy attack. Oddly enough, I believe it happened for a reason. It was around 5 a.m., and as I opened my eyes, the sunlight caught my attention. I immediately opened the window to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. It was so quiet and peaceful—I could literally hear the birds chirping, the wind blowing, and feel the serenity of nature all around me. I also caught a lovely glimpse of what I like to call Vitamin S—for Sunrise! 😄

This was the kind of morning I’ve always dreamed of: waking up in a room surrounded by nature. Although it may not yet be the full reality of my dream, I’m incredibly thankful for the chance to experience this moment. Huge thanks to the Beltran family, as always, for making it possible. 💛

A lot happened that day—it was last Wednesday, and I stayed there for a day and a night.

During the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly and it was quite hot. Eventually, our stomachs began to growl, and thanks to Ate May for her initiative—she fried some bananas! I love how she prepares them—crispy and seasoned with just a bit of salt. It was the perfect snack for the afternoon. Simple, but oh so satisfying!

As evening came, it was time for dinner. Since it was Wednesday, we were also preparing to attend our midweek Prayer Meeting at the house of one of our church co-members, which was just nearby. Before we headed out, we enjoyed a delicious dinner that left our tummies happy and full.

Just look at this eggplant salad—loaded with ingredients for maximum flavor—and my all-time favorite, cucumber.

We also had fried chicken—golden, crispy, and downright yummylicious! Nothing compares. It was a great combination that made for such a hearty and comforting meal.

After dinner, we walked about 5–10 minutes to our fellow church member's house for the Prayer Meeting. This is one of my favorite parts of the week—our church has this beautiful activity where we share our personal prayer requests with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and they pray for us, sometimes even offering help when they can. I’m so grateful for this. It’s truly a meaningful part of my Christian journey. Prayer has taught me to lean on God not just in difficult times, but also during joyful and victorious moments.

Thanks to Ate Jean for capturing this special moment—we were having snacks after the meeting!

And speaking of snacks... charan! One of my ultimate favorites was served! They also had sticky rice, but I skipped that and chose what best suited my taste. Yummy!

As the night comes to a close, a realization gently sinks in—how a single day can pass by so quickly, sometimes without us even noticing it. So much can happen in just one day, often without our awareness. Reflecting on this, I’ve come to realize how important it is to spend our time wisely in this fallen world. The truth is, we don’t know what tomorrow holds. There’s no guarantee of what will happen from one day to the next. That’s why we should live each day in a way that honors and glorifies our Heavenly Father—making the most of every moment for His glory.💗

That’s all for today’s journey, everyone.😊
Thanks for swinging by and reading. I appreciate you all, dear Hiverians! 🌸

Wow, so many good food you had there. I would love to try all of them. I am wondering what makes eggplant salad have such a beautiful pink color like that, and the fried banana, mouth-watering :D
