Taking Care of my Financial Needs
I have finally paid my acceptance fee. I recently gained admission to study Business Administration at the university. At first, I was skeptical about the course. However, after reviewing all the information I needed to review, I felt it might just be the only option I had.
I intend to study part-time, for the following reasons: Lectures for science courses for part-time students are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., which is extremely inconvenient for me. That is why I chose the weekend program. Because of this, I will only be able to attend school on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to the stresses associated with going during the week, I also thought about the financial stress it would cause me.
As a result of the removal of petroleum subsidies in the country, we now buy fuel for almost a dollar per liter. Commercial bus drivers have increased the cost of transportation due to subsidy removal, which looks like it will become the norm in the future. Also, I have to pay school fees, buy textbooks, and do everything else that involves money. If I spend most of my earnings on transportation, I will go broke before I realize what's happening.
I am currently earning $33 out of the Hive blockchain every month, and the minimum amount I earn on Hive monthly is about $40. I've started a power down, and it'll continue until I have enough money to pay my rent for my house, and tuition fees for this session. Initially, I had planned to power down so I could pay for my rent. The plans changed when I decided to further my education. I am not happy that I have to power down, but it is the only option I have. On the plus side, I'm thankful I don't have to burden people with money to meet my needs by asking for it.
As part of my plan to rebuild my Hive Power, I intend to power up all rewards I receive from posts. In order to accomplish this, I simply changed the post payout settings before publishing the post. Since returning from church yesterday, my head has been aching horribly. I even swallowed some medicine to ease it, but I am not feeling better, and I am supposed to sleep, but I didn't sleep. Because the thoughts of what I need to write are fresh in my mind, I just felt the need to write this post.
A few hours ago, I spent about $20 USD to get a document known as a Certificate of Origin done for my sisters and myself, which is one of the important documents needed to get an international passport in Nigeria. I do not know about other countries. When I met an official responsible for preparing an international passport, she told me I would need to present my birth certificate, certificate of origin, ID card, passport photographs, and forty-five thousand naira.
She surprised me by telling me it was that amount, despite the fact that other people with whom I had inquired about the cost of getting an international passport said I would need to bring those documents as well as eighty thousand naira. It started to seem as though the people calling with higher amounts were trying to scam me. I was confident about the lady who mentioned 45 thousand naira because she had just completed a passport for a lady I know and her baby. As I type, the lady is currently living in London.
In light of how genuine she was and how low her price was, I decided to go get those documents ready as soon as possible. I am glad that I have all the documents ready, except for my son's ID card. I know that after the passport is done, I will have to wait a few months before I am called to pick up the passport. To relocate out of my country, I will have the opportunity to live in a different environment, work, and take care of myself and my son. But first, I must finish my studies here, and hopefully, before everything ends, things will be better.
I chose Business Administration because, according to my research, it is a course that a science student can take, especially if they intend to start their own business at some point. Various finance-related issues will be considered, and I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned in school with the Hive blockchain. I believe it will have a bright future. My bills are choking me right now, but it's good that I can deal with the more urgent ones as they arise.
There is nothing one sets their mind to that does not require money, and if one cannot provide it, one becomes stagnant, and goals become difficult to accomplish. Those who say money isn't everything need to rethink, or I guess they already have all the money they need. A person's life is easier if they have money, and if they are unable to provide it, they become stagnant.
Since I moved into my apartment, I haven't bought a mattress The cost of the one I checked was about $90 USD Each time I make plans to buy it, some other expenses come up, and I end up leaving it for another time Before I resume school in the first week of July, I have to go to the salon to get my hair done and look pretty My hairstylist, whom I chatted with weeks ago, told me I would need about $12 USD to buy some hair extensions and get the hair done.
In some cases, money isn't everything. However, it's good to always have enough available to meet needs. I'll take one step at a time and be grateful for what I have available.
I will use my resources wisely and remember that having enough money is a privilege that not everyone has. I will stay mindful of how I use my money and look for ways to make the most of it. I will also be generous and help others when I can.
Oh dear, I can relate with this.
Getting to study at such hard time will be really challenging, don't give up.
Am on a quest to buy a mattress too and will check the available option.
I understand what it means to live alone and schooling too. Please just keep a positive mindset.
Thanks a lot sis💓🎉
You sure have enough financial needs especially at this challenging time, thank God for Hive even though powering down hurt but it is better than not having anything or trying to depend on anyone for money. I am also trying to find means for my Nysc which is here already and Hive is my source of income for now. Of course, God is always there and we shouldn't forget to talk to Him. May He keep providing to get more things done for you.
Yes, that's what I am. Also, thank God for that. I am not bothering anyone, but I can meet the urgent needs now. I just have to know that I need to buckle up and rebuild my hp as soon as I can.
We shouldn't forget to talk to God and trust him. That's right.
Thank you, Princess.
It is well with you sis. I pray God makes it easy for you. I didn't know part time is active in Nigerian universities. I thought its only available in polytechnics. That's amazing. I wish you the very best.
It is active in universities, too. The school is a polytechnic.
