When humans rest, and robots fight

‎Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog.

‎I've heard stories of wars, both from the past and present times, and I've seen news of ongoing everyday war between countries, and all I can say is that war is worst than a disease pandemic. When a disease pandemic hits a country, not everyone is affected, and once there's a cure, it can be treated. But when it comes to wars, it could go on for years, until there's no one left to fight anymore. You could see a city in shambles, and you'd be surprise to know that the city was once a beauty to behold. Lives are lost, kids are separated from their parents, and many are injured. At some point, one might even have to leave others, just to save his life first.
‎As a lover of action movies, I've seen too many war movies that made me draw to the conclusion of never having a soldier partner, because the assumption of that is that I might die of heart attack before a bullet might even hit him. I truly never want to experience what war feels like. My parents told me stories of how their houses were destroyed when they were still kids, and how they had to leave their homes and live in the forest, surviving on whatever they could come across. And the terror in their voice when they narrate these stories terrifies me, and I can't even imagine what it would be like to be in a similar situation.

‎If robots were to be used to fight wars instead of the soldiers who leave their families behind with no knowledge of whether they would return alive or not, it would be very nice.
‎With advanced technology, humans can just stay home while well-developed robots fight our wars. And maybe all we would be required to do is to be ready for anything, incase the enemy country starts to gain the upper hand. But in as much as this would be nice, there are still very dangerous outcomes that might come from it.

‎From a few sci-fi technology movies and books that I've come across, there are always scenarios where the antagonist turns the robot against its owner, and automatically the robots starts to malfunction, and go against everything it was built to do. We can see this in the Megan-3 movie, where the robot became a terror even to the developers. What are the chances that such things wouldn't happen when robots fight our wars?

‎It is scary to imagine a whole army of robots turn against the country it was made to protect. When this happens, the chances of the country's survival would be zero, because both the enemy robots, and the malfunctioning robots would surely wipe everyone out before any human action would be taken.

‎I don't know if I'm imagining things probably because I've seen too many scary movies, but if you ask me, I'd say using robots as soldiers is fine as this will help reduce the death of human soldiers. But what happens when these machines turn against us? My suggestion would be that a team of super fast individuals should always be on standby, and ready to destroy the robots if the unimaginable should occur.

I like the approach; you considered the pros and cons which are valid points in such a discourse. Robots deployed in wars would mean less of lives but what happens when they malfunction? Well said.
