The danger silence [CNF]
"Will these people ever keep quiet for once?" I hissed as I checked the time on my phone. It was 2 am in the morning, but the girls next door were still awake and loud with their conversations. Beside me, Diana laid wide awake, hissing as she grabbed her phone. I felt very bad that even a visitor couldn't sleep peacefully at my place. That was disheartening, and I had no idea what to do about the loud girls next door.
Six months ago two girls moved to the next room, and I felt they'd be normal like every other girl. Well, it turned out that they were too loud. There was never a day when they were ever quiet. If they weren't having loud conversations, they'd be screaming and dancing to music. The other neighbors tried complaining, but after some time, they made peace with the attitude. Since it was a school environment, no one felt it was right to sound them out.
But Tonight was different. My friend, Diana had come over to my place because she was sick, and there was a party at her place. She needed the peace and quiet, but these girls were right on time to ruin the night.
"Jenny, I think you should go talk to them. This is insane." Diana complained.
I apologized and promised to meet them the next morning.
As soon as the sun rays seeped through my curtains, I was up and out of the room. I knocked loudly on their door, hoping the sound would jolt them from their sleep.
I really wanted them to get a dose of their medicine. They were fond of keeping others awake, and when it was time to stay awake, they'd go to bed. I heard their growling sounds, and some seconds later, an angry looking girl opened the door.
"Couldn't you have waited till we were up?" She asked me.
"Well, you didn't wait too for us to have a peaceful sleep." I proceeded to drop my complaints about the noise, and how it doesn't let me sleep. After my complaint, the girl looked at me, and asked if I was the caretaker of the house. The question threw me off, and I went back to my room, angry. I heard the hissing sounds she made as she locked their door, and that made my blood boil.
It was true that for the past 6 months that they moved in, I'd not really complained because I saw that the neighbors couldn't win them. Also, sometimes I enjoyed listening to their conversations.
For two days after that incident, I slept at Diana's place because I worried that they might want to frustrate me more. On the third day, I came back to my room and a sudden silence hit me. I went close to their room, and saw that the door wasn't locked, but everywhere was quiet. I should've been happy about that, but instead, I found it weird and it bothered me. I called Diana, and she said I shouldn't bother myself. But at 9 pm, the silence became loud, and uncomfortable. I texted one of my neighbors, and he said he found it weird too, so I went to their door and knocked. There was no answer. After some few seconds of knocking, I pushed the door, and it opened on its own. A scream escaped my mouth as I saw the two girls lying unconscious on the ground. There was a plate of unfinished food beside them. I called for help, and the neighbors helped to take them to the hospital, where it was later learned that the food they ate was poisoned. The doctor said they could've died if we hadn't brought them when we did.

After that day, when they returned to the apartment, I never asked them to keep their tone down again.
I kept thinking about it. If their silence wasn't sudden, I wouldn't have noticed that something was wrong, and we could've really lost them. But it was a good thing that they were naturally loud, and that's what saved them.
Sometimes the bad character of some people saves them from sudden demise or something like that.
Yeah, you're right
