Imagine life without faucets
I missed the cold showers that I used to get once I came home from work. I missed using my kitchen sink, and I missed doing my laundry at home. I had to go to a friend's apartment to wash my clothes, and I had to beg the stingy occupants of other houses to let me fetch water, and sometimes I got insults in return. It was indeed hard while it lasted.
When I finally decided to pay someone to get me water every weekend, it became tougher as I had to manage every drop of water in the house, and it was hard to save for my other needs as I had to keep the least 5000 every weekend to get water.
At some point, I gave up and moved out of the apartment. I was so happy when I saw that my new apartment had no water issues, and I went back to my normal way of life.
It was during this time that I concluded that nothing beats having running water in your apartment, as it could become a nightmare if it doesn't. So if I were asked the best invention in the world, I'd say faucets are the best innovation ever seen in the world.
If we were to go back to ancient times when people had to walk miles just to get water. It may seem fun swimming in the river, or washing clothes together with friends, but it gets bad when you have to trek to the river just to get water for cooking, or water for urgent needs. I wonder sometimes what the world would've been like if faucets weren't in existence. A person like myself would've probably snapped in two halves from all the water that I'll be fetching from far distances.
Water is good, whether in streams or rivers or boreholes, but nothing beats having running water in your room. It's the best stress free innovation I have ever seen.
This is from another deep angle.
The science behind the sumo operation is a deep one.
Underrated how it makes having water at low cost at home. No need to jack the olden days type of pump to get water or go to streams to fetch water to fill the house
You're right...the science behind the sumo is overwhelming
Omor there's nothing like running water o, it just makes life easier, I love this invention so much too and when ours stop running it's a little frustrating
So true...life without running water is extremely frustrating
You took us deeper😅
I haven't thought of this, but life without a running tap in your apartment is definitely going to stressful.
Sumo is really one of the best invention
I've been there, and the experience wasn't nice at all
Water they say is life too, since we have it in abundance we might not see its value untill we are in a tight spot and don't have access to it.
Trust me, I've been there and I can tell you that it's not an experience anyone would want
Water they say is life, but getting it at ease without struggling is the best innovation ever through the faucet. Having water also keeps the house clean and free from odours and germs.
You're right....water is indeed everything
Definitely 😊😊 have a great day
