Flex of speaking many languages
Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog!
During my highschool days, I dreaded language class so much because it was exhausting. At the time, I didn't know what AI was, so we had to read through dozens of textbooks in languages that we didn't understand. Then, I had only one goal, which was to get a pass mark for the extra languages I had to study, even if the grade was an E.
Well, fast-forward to the university days when chatgpt and other AI became a problem-solving friend to students. The languages included in the curriculum was no longer a problem, because I always had my very good friend with me at all times, and my grades became better too.
Indeed AI has made language easy. A person can communicate with different languages without actually knowing how to speak it.
I'm going to use Korean as a reference because I'm a fan of K.dramas. I and my friends oftentimes chat using Korean language, and that's because we love the way it sounds, and AI translators made it easy and fun. But here's the problem; if for any reason or whatsoever I get to travel to Korea, it would be a total mess for me because I wouldn't be able to speak without my phone or AI translators, as a result, if I find myself in a situation where my phone isn't available, it would be a wreck.
AI is fascinating and it makes everything easy, but there's this flex that comes from actually being able to speak a different language.
For Instance, in my country where many languages are spoken, I always admire people who can speak these multiple languages. When I hear them switch from one language to another, I wish that could be me because there's always something different about them. They can survive anywhere, and it would be hard to get in trouble since they can always bail themselves out with the language they've learned to speak.
Seeing these has made me promise to learn new languages, and I'm definitely going to work towards that.
AI is good but it has made a mess of some things. In schools, students no longer fight to learn from their teachers because they can always ask chatgpt. Also, though chatting has become more fun because you can easily navigate through different languages at the same time, but what happens when a real life situation occurs and one does not have access to AI translators at that moment?

In conclusion, though the use of AI has made language easy and fun, there's still a need for everyone to learn different languages when they can because you may never know what life throws at you.
If found in a dire situation where no one understands the language you speak and AI isn't available, what would be the fate of such person?
We should endeavor to learn new languages whenever we can. It's a big flex.
I cannot help but agree with you, AI and translators are doing a good job but it is still good to learn new languages than rely completely on AI.
That's right
