A year to remember
Hello everyone, I welcome you to my blog.
The new prompt is really interesting. Talking about one's achievements for the year is a perfect way to realize that a lot has happened in just a year. 2025 went by just as fast as it came, but still, there are things that we've all been able to achieve within this small period. Even one could not achieve much, the fact that we are all alive is one big underated achievement. It means that, there will still be opportunities for our goals to be achieved.
And just like that, we're soon to be bidding farewell to this year.
Indeed, I must say that this year was a lot. Of all the years I've spent on earth, I might likely not forget this year in a hurry. A lot happened, a lot changed, and a lot might still happen before we draw the curtains.
I can remember waiting eagerly for this year on the 31st of December, 2024, with my resolutions all written and set. I had made plans, and wishes of all the things I wanted to achieve in the new year. I had big dreams. Dreams that were way bigger than I could imagine. Finally, 2025 came, and it was just like yesterday, when we screamed happy new year to each other. Now, this same year is gradually coming to an end in just a few days time, and now, we're all eagerly waiting for a new year, and a new beginning.
When I look back at how far I've come this year, it still surprises me that I've managed to stay sane till now. The year came with a lot of pain, loss, hardships and sadness, but through it all, I was still able to make some nice achievements.
With all the trouble the year came with, I was able to pay my bills, go to school, feed, and still have a big smile on my face.
This year, friends were lost, new ones were made, mistakes were made, and lessons were learnt. All of which worked together to sharpen my mind, and help me grow into a better woman.
Indeed, I've made some pretty nice achievements that weren't in my to-do list for the year. And though this year have just a days left, there are still some things that I would love to achieve before the curtains are drawn. And hopefully, they'll all fall in place.
As usual, I'm eagerly waiting for a new year to arrive, and I've made a mental note of some of the things I'd love to achieve in this coming year.
A writer once said "we can't direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails."
I truly hope that as we try our earnest best to improve on ourselves, things will fall in place and work out perfectly.
Merry Christmas in advance to everyone, and I wish us all beautiful and prosperous days for the rest of the days we have left in this year.

One of my favourite quotes is "life is what happens when we are busy planning other things". We make plans but at the long run, we find ourselves struggling with challenges we never planned for. The most important thing is to survive and I'm glad you did.
Yeah, surviving is the most important thing... And that's all that matters
I tend to think this year wasn't very significant, but remembering all the things that are gone, and even better, all the things that are here, has been a bit stressful. But as you'd say, we're still here with big smiles.
And hopefully, the smiles will remain
Merry Christmas to you too.
Enjoy the rest of the year.
Thank you 😊
