Walk through a green area in the middle of the noise [Esp-Eng]

I live in a residential area where there are quite a few houses, all very close to each other. Sometimes I feel the need to see more nature and so on. Although people, in their attempt to live a more natural life, have planted a few plants in their homes, the truth is that none of them take up enough space for me to say that it has become a green area. However, the great thing is that when I walk outside the neighborhood, as soon as I leave it, I come across a nice surprise.

Opposite the neighborhood is a medical center known as Seguro Social la ovallera. In this area, there is a fairly large space filled with trees and other vegetation. It is a place that makes you feel like you are in a totally different location because, although it is surrounded by a street with a lot of traffic, it is also a place where people take refuge under the shade of the trees. They even walk through it while waiting for the bus to go home or to another place.

When I come or go home, I always like to pass through there. Surely you have noticed that the air you breathe under the trees not only feels cooler, but also feels purer. So, even though I have to walk a little further, I really love passing through here, especially now that they have cut down the bushes and the whole space is suitable for walking through.

Vivo en una urbanización en la que hay bastantes casas y todas están muy cerca unas de las otras. A veces siento la necesidad de mirar más naturaleza y demás. Aunque las personas, en su intento de tener una vida más natural, han sembrado una que otra mata en su casa, la verdad es que ninguna ocupa el espacio suficiente como para que yo pueda decir que ya se convirtió en un área verde. Sin embargo, algo genial es que cuando camino fuera de la urbanización, apenas salgo de ella, me consigo con una linda sorpresa.

​Frente a la urbanización está un centro médico conocido como Seguro Social la ovallera. En esta zona hay un espacio bastante amplio lleno de árboles y demás. Es un sitio que te hace sentir como si estuvieras en un lugar totalmente diferente porque, si bien está rodeado de una calle por la que transitan bastantes vehículos, también es un sitio en el que las personas se refugian debajo de la sombra de los árboles. Incluso caminan por él mientras esperan el autobús para regresar a su casa o para ir a otro lugar.

​Cuando yo vengo o voy de regreso a casa me gusta siempre pasar por ahí. Seguramente ustedes han notado que el aire que se respira debajo de los árboles no solamente se siente más fresco, sino que se siente también más puro. Así que, aunque tenga que caminar un poquito más, la verdad es que me encanta pasar por aquí, especialmente ahorita que han cortado el monte y todo el espacio está apto para pasar por él.

I have known this neighborhood since I was very young, as I lived here as a child. All this time, it makes me very happy to know that this place has not changed, that nothing has been built there, and that no businesses or anything like that have been set up. This means that, amid all the pavement and houses, there is a special place that completely changes your mood, or at least that's how it is for me.

I feel that it is very necessary to be able to see green areas when you go out for a walk because, although the structures in the city and so on are beautiful and even impressive, a tree can change your mood. I don't know if this happens to everyone, but I think it does. In my case, I feel very peaceful when I hear the breeze moving the leaves of the trees, and I can't help but want to breathe deeply.

What I really like about it is that it's a fairly large space. Also, as I mentioned before, it's right at the entrance to a medical center that too many people come to. Being able to pass through here on the way out after a bad day at the doctor's, or even passing through before arriving, always makes a difference inside you. Even if it's small, that change does exist.

​Llevo desde muy pequeña conociendo esta urbanización ya que desde niña viví aquí. En todo este tiempo me hace muy feliz saber que este lugar no ha cambiado, no han construido nada allí y tampoco han puesto ningún tipo de negocio ni nada por el estilo. Esto hace que, en medio de todo el pavimento y las casas, haya un lugar especial que cambia totalmente tu ánimo, o al menos eso es lo que me pasa a mí.

​Siento que es muy necesario poder ver áreas verdes cuando se sale a caminar porque, si bien las estructuras en la ciudad y demás son bonitas y hasta impresionantes, un árbol puede hacer cambiar tu estado de ánimo. No sé si le pasará a todo el mundo, yo creo que sí, pero en mi caso me siento muy en paz cuando escucho la brisa mover las hojas de los árboles y no puedo evitar querer respirar profundamente.

​Lo que me gusta mucho de ahí es que es un espacio bastante amplio. También, como les mencioné antes, está justo en la entrada de un centro médico al que vienen demasiadas personas. Poder pasar por aquí al salir después de un mal día en el médico, o incluso pasar antes de llegar, siempre hace un cambio en el interior de uno. Aunque sea pequeño, ese cambio sí existe.

So, on this Wednesday walk, I wanted to share with you this special little corner which, although not very big, has just enough space to hold several trees, but especially two large trees that provide shade for much of this area. Although I don't know how long they've been there, I've known them for at least 21 years and during that time I've seen them almost every day of my life, and today was no exception. I wanted to share this special place with you.

​Así que en esta caminata de miércoles quise compartir con ustedes este rinconcito especial que, aunque no es tan grande, tiene el espacio exacto para contener varios árboles, pero en especial dos grandes árboles que dan sombra a gran parte esta zona. Aunque no sé cuánto tiempo tienen allí, los conozco desde hace al menos 21 años y durante ese tiempo los he visto casi cada día de mi vida, y hoy no fue la excepción. Quise compartir este lugar especial con ustedes.
