Tools that you must have at home [Esp-Eng]

Hay herramientas que nos facilitan muchísimo la vida en el hogar, con ellas podemos resolver situaciones que se presentan en casa o hasta hacer mantenimiento a algunos electrodomésticos, para alargar su vida útil o evitar que estos presenten fallas en el futuro. Básicamente, herramientas que tienen miles de usos y que son por decirlo de alguna manera generales, porque se pueden usar para muchas cosas.

En casa no las tenemos todos, pero tenemos unas cuantos que nos ayudan a facilitar trabajos que hay que hacer en el hogar. Herramientas que se convirtieron en parte de la familia y que van con nosotros a todas partes. Porque literalmente, las metemos en un bolsito pequeño y las llevamos a donde vamos. Pero por lo general, nos ayudan en casa a hacerlo todo y más.

There are tools that make our life at home much easier, with them we can solve situations that arise at home or even do maintenance to some appliances, to extend their life or prevent them from presenting failures in the future. Basically, tools that have thousands of uses and that are, so to speak, general, because they can be used for many things.

Not all of us have them at home, but we have a few that help us to facilitate jobs that need to be done at home. Tools that have become part of the family and go with us everywhere. Because we literally put them in a little bag and take them with us wherever we go. But usually, they help us at home to do everything and more.

Algunas de esas herramientas que tenemos y que siento que todo el mundo debe tener en casa, son los destornilladores. Casi todo lleva tornillos, desde interruptores, cerraduras y grifos, hasta los mismos electrodomésticos y aunque hay diferentes formas de tornillos, la verdad es que los más comunes requieren solo 2 tipos de destornillador, de estría y de pala.

En ocasiones de emergencia en la que no se consigue el de estría incluso puede resolverse con el de pala, sin embrago esto no es lo comúnmente recomendado para que el tornillo no se aisle y sea un problema usarlo luego, como mencioné esto es solo para emergencias, aun cuando uno pasa por alto esto y va por la vida aislado los tornillos. El caso es que tenerlos en casa es útil, porque siempre los vamos a necesitar.

Some of those tools that we have and that I feel that everyone should have at home, are screwdrivers. Almost everything has screws, from switches, locks and faucets, to the same appliances and although there are different shapes of screws, the truth is that the most common require only 2 types of screwdrivers, slotted and blade.

On emergency occasions when you can't get the Phillips screwdriver, you can even use the blade screwdriver, however this is not commonly recommended so that the screw is not isolated and it will be a problem to use it later, as I mentioned this is only for emergencies, even if you overlook this and go through life isolated the screws. The point is that having them at home is useful, because we will always need them.

En nuestro caso como mi esposo trabaja con reparación de equipos de computador y demás, en casa tenemos otros destornilladores y de diferentes tamaños. Pero los que en realidad necesitamos para la casa son los dos básicos, estos nos sirven para todo y nos ayudan a solucionar algo rápido y sin ayuda de más nadie.

Por otro lado, también los alicates son demasiado importantes, nos permiten agarrar algo bien para repararlo, también cortar materiales duros como alambres o cables y a la hora de hacer algún tipo de adorno o cualquiera de éstas cosas, los alicates son buenos aliados. Aunque hay de diferentes tamaños y con diferentes, tenemos uno en casa que lo usamos para absolutamente todo, aunque es más para trabajos de electricidad.

In our case as my husband works with computer equipment repair and others, at home we have other screwdrivers and of different sizes. But the ones we really need for the house are the two basic ones, these are useful for everything and help us to solve something quickly and without help from anyone else.

On the other hand, also the pliers are too important, they allow us to grab something well to repair it, also cut hard materials such as wires or cables and when making some kind of ornament or any of these things, pliers are good allies. Although there are of different sizes and with different, we have one at home that we use it for absolutely everything, although it is more for electrical work.

Por último en casa tenemos otra herramienta súper útil que nos ayuda desde colgar un cuadro, hasta romper algo en casa. Aunque también puede ser útil cuando queremos quebrar un hielo de forma mas fácil jajaja. Se trata del martillo, siempre es necesario uno, siempre hay un clavo que poner, romper o dar forma, y el martillo puede hacer todo esto y más, así que es de esas herramientas que debemos tener en casa si o sí.

Hay otras que sabemos que son muy necesarias, pero por ahora no las tenemos y se trata de las llaves ajustables, de esas que nos permiten reparar llaves de agua o incluso a sacar tuercas y cosas que son más difíciles. Siempre que necesitamos una de esta, nos ha tocada pedirla prestada, y ha sido en varias ocasiones. Así que es algo que debemos conseguir para cualquier emergencia en el hogar.

Estas son las más necesarias desde mi punto de vista, obviamente hay otras herramientas más complejas que pueden hacer trabajos como los que mencioné de una manera más fácil y rápida, pero estas que les menciono son las más fáciles de conseguir y que no requieren de un gran gasto. ¿Ustedes tienen alguna de estas herramientas u otra que les parezcan qué todos deberíamos tener en casa?

Although it can also be useful when we want to break an ice in an easier way hahaha. It is the hammer, you always need one, there is always a nail to put, break or shape, and the hammer can do all this and more, so it is one of those tools that we must have at home if or yes.

There are others that we know are very necessary, but for now we don't have them and we are talking about adjustable wrenches, those that allow us to repair wrenches or even to remove nuts and things that are more difficult. Whenever we need one of these, we have always had to borrow it, and it has been on several occasions. So it's something we should get for any emergency at home.

These are the most necessary from my point of view, obviously there are other more complex tools that can do jobs like the ones I mentioned in an easier and faster way, but these I mention are the easiest to get and do not require a great expense.
