The wife I want

Marriage, as I understand it, is the union of two people who have decided to live together as a family. I may lack the perfect words to describe this in simple terms, but all I know is that the two individuals (of opposite sex, as per my culture) must agree to live as a family. In my description, agreement is the major factor. It entails that the two individuals have seen and accepted the characteristics each of them possesses—be it physical appearance or inner qualities such as decency, godliness, empathy, cleanliness, and many others, before agreeing to be together.

This is what marriage means to me. I'm not yet married, but when the time comes for me to go into it, I will not settle solely on physical appearance. Other important qualities must be considered. Also, the other person must see me as someone she can spend the remaining days of her life with.

My ideal home/marriage is one where I marry a very decent lady, with good looks, someone who is very clean, has a caring spirit, and is also willing to be involved in working to help balance the financial demands of the house. I don’t mean she has to be overly ambitious to the point of neglecting her home. No, she must be engaged in a type of work or business that allows her to still cater to her family.

My home will be a sweet one, with the presence of both my wife and I being felt by the children. This means she must be available, and we won’t adopt the nanny option or get a housemaid. On my part, I’ll also be available to help out in anything whenever I’m home.

She must be very submissive too. Men naturally want someone who is submissive to them, and I’m a man too—I want that. This doesn’t mean I’ll turn her into a slave or make her answer to all my questions. I just want someone who won’t stress me out with unnecessary queries and nagging. I want a very peaceful home.

Also, I want a religious wife with the fear of God, but not the type who is so deeply into religion that she deprives me of my marital rights due to one church-related reason or another, especially those who believe it is a sin to be intimate with their husband during a fasting period.
