My ringtone styles

When it comes to ringtones, I am not addicted to a particular sound, song, or tone. I interchange my ringtone with anything available at the moment I feel like changing it. It is just the same way I derive joy from changing my wallpapers, screeners, and fonts, that is how I derive joy in changing my ringtones. Most times, I do not even go with songs; I usually select from the files on my phone, and it works very well for me. My phone is almost always with me, so I do not get attached to recognizing that I am being called through a particular sound.

I like it that way because it makes me feel like my life is not stuck in a particular routine where the same sound keeps playing on my phone every day. It is just like music to me, I love music so much, but I cannot imagine myself playing a particular song all day or all through the week; I would get tired. I just enjoy the different styling of ringtones.

This habit? I cannot remember how or when it started. All I know is that it has been like this for a very long time. Even when I was using the older-generation phones, I would always rotate ringtones from the file list. And when I got tired of the original tones in the phone, I would dive into my downloaded music list. But music lists do not usually excite me as much. They give me the feeling of using a common song that everyone knows as my ringtone, and that is why I often settle for the default tones in the phone.

I get the greatest excitement about my ringtone lifestyle whenever I get a new phone. Oh my goodness! It feels like a whole new life entirely because I will have so many tones to select from, changing them turn by turn until I get tired. And when that happens, these modern phones make it so easy to get ringtones that are not even listed on the phone, just through an internet connection. It is not like making a new Google search, no. It is the same way I change my wallpaper from an app on my phone, that is how I change my ringtone from the app or designated site in the phone.

The ringtone I am currently using was set early last month (January). It has lasted for a while, and I am not planning to change it soon, except I wake up one day and my mood tells me to do so.

Also, I am not the type that prefers loud ringtones. My setting is usually so low that one would not even know my phone is ringing, except in a very quiet environment. Since I am always close to my phone, I find it very awkward to set the volume too high. My ringtone is meant to alert me that I have a call, not to alert everyone around me, unlike my dad, whose ringtone is so loud that everyone in the house and even the compound knows when his phone is ringing.

Thanks!

A good number of us grow older and just go with the default flow. I wonder why that is so but I'm comfortable with it. I had my time with using aongs that i liked a lot so, here i am.

I think maturity has to do with the usage of default ringtone. I know of a lot of people that don't just care about their ancient default ringtone.

Thank You
