Already over before it even got started
I had enough rest, had fun as much as I could, and ate enough, and of course added some weight, but it's all gone now because I have gotten back to stressing and meeting up deadlines with projects.The first few days of resumption were already filled with a struggle of adjustment from the holiday blues of relaxation to now meeting up demands on a tight schedule and daily to-do list.
Sometimes you just feel like the energy is slapping off you, and the need to meet up makes you overwhelmed and anxious. Struggles to establish and focus on productivity. Most of us have already made our goals and are focused on achieving them. Most have already started working on it.
Getting back to normal routine, for some workers it's time to go back to work, recollect with colleagues and business partners, while for students it's time to go back to the daily lecture and recollecting with students. This time is always filled with pleasantries as people wish others Happy New Year, expressing how pleased they are to see you in another year.
For me, New Year is a big deal. When I was really young, I thought the year was so slow that I wanted it fast so I could become an adult. But I can tell you being an adult is not something I had wished to come so quickly. I had measures put in place so I won't feel so overwhelmed but rather easily adjust quickly to the change.During what I love and during it with lots of happiness.
So let me share part of my New Year's resolution. I planned to go back to making beads. I stopped making beads three years ago because of the stress that comes with it and the time it consumed. I still have unfinished bead bags that I need to get my hands on.
I got my first order of the year, second, and even third. I was excited and overjoyed during it. It wasn't just the money; there was something else, something I just can't explain. I'm fully back to beads, and I have to find a way to incorporate it in my tight schedule.
Reflecting on my holiday, I had lots of time during the holiday to have a reflection. Remembering the memories that occasionally make me smile unknowingly. It was a fun-filled experience, and I wished to go back to even having another extra week.
Self-care, even in the midst of my tight schedule, I make sure I take care of myself. Going to the gym, making time to sleep, eating enough fruits and vegetables, eating nutritious meals, and taking enough water too. With this I can easily adjust to being more productive every day.
