12 hours won't fix everything! Discipline would...
You know that moment when you finally become an adult and start managing your own time… suddenly, time just starts flying. You’re working, chasing goals, and before you know it, the day is over. You forget the little things that used to bring you joy—things you once had all the time in the world for. That’s adulthood: busy, fast, and sometimes, empty of the fun we used to have.
But if someone gave me 12 extra hours in the day, I'd pause for a moment and said; Finally
I always feel like I'm racing against the clock. So here's what I would do with my extra hours.
🕒 3 Hours for Deep Personal Growth My spiritual life would benefit greatly from this. With extra time, I’d be more consistent with reading my Bible, not just rushing through, but truly taking time to reflect and connect. I’d also use those hours to read more business books, explore new ideas, and expand my mindset. It would be a space to grow inwardly while preparing outwardly for bigger things.
🎨 An extra 2 Hours for Creative Joy I love editing videos and drawing, so these extra hours would be a gift. I’d spend more time working on my storytelling visuals, perfecting my edits, and enjoying the process without watching the clock. It would also give me freedom to write short stories and bring them to life for my TikTok audience. This is not just creativity, it’s my therapy, my voice, and my passion.
🧘♀️1 Hour Just to Breathe;
I love my naps. My body is so used to not sleeping at night that if my power nap gets disrupted, my whole day goes sideways. With just one extra hour, I’d use it to relax, maybe lie down with soft music playing in the background and just enjoy some quiet. It would help me gather my thoughts, regulate my energy, and actually feel calm before getting back to everything else.
💼 3–4 Hours for Business and Work; Extra time means extra money and that’s exciting! I wouldn’t have to choose between posting on Hive or working on Upwork or squeezing in a digital course. With more hours, I could consistently grow my TikTok brand, learn new digital skills, and show up fully for the things that are helping me build a better future.
💬 2 Hours for Friends and Family;
Truth is, my social battery runs low really fast, especially after dealing with the stress of the day. Sometimes I don’t even have the energy to chat with my friends. But if I had more time, I’d be able to catch up with the people I care about without constantly checking the clock. I could visit a friend or hang out with family without the guilt of rushing back to get something else done.
⏳ Final Thoughts: Discipline Over Time management
This all sounds incredible, but if I’m being honest, 24 hours is already enough to do what I need to. The problem isn’t always time, it’s how we use it. Sometimes, when we’re given more time, we actually become more relaxed… more distracted… and we delay the very things we could have finished sooner. Without discipline, extra time won’t save us—it might even waste us.
Truth is, extra time won’t fix everything. Even if we had 36 hours in a day, there would still be people wishing for 48. That’s because time always feels limited when there’s no structure.
Adding 12 more hours doesn’t change your mindset. A lazy person will still complain there's “not enough time.” But a wise person? A wise person will maximize even one hour and build something powerful from it.
So while it’s fun to dream about more hours, maybe what we truly need is better time discipline, clarity, and consistency. That’s the real power.
Thanks for stopping by💕.
