I imagined that all artworks have some fantasy vibe. And so, I made my own artwork base on fantasy characters or creatures.

This time I made an Orc. This Orc Shaman defeated a thousand orcs and captures their souls inside the skull mystic staff. He is now ready to the competition in the battle arena in RADA QUEST.✨

Without further ado, join me walk through the process of creation and hope you have fun as the art progress from the start to finish.

Digital Art Process

As always, I started with a sketch for the pose and composition of the character. 🙂 I want to have it with a fierce look while casting it's powerful spell within the staff.

In the next image, I do the rough line art and do a grayscale method. It's like shading your sketch to add some depth to it. I'm happy with that 😁 alright unto the next step let's go!

In here, I added the base color. 😁 I did that by adding a layer on top of the grayscale and set to multiply. To lighten it up add a layer, set to overlay and fill in a color light yellow orange.

In the next image, I start to render the face and cape of the creature first.

Then I render the hands down to the body, clothes and skull staff.

The next image is adding magic spell and glow.

Lastly, I add some necessary light and bounce light, then finished the illustration. I also put it in a card border to make it stylish😁see image below.👇

I'm happy with the result.😌 It really captures the emotion and pose. I definitely love this fantasy creature card illustration. I hope you like it😁
