RE: When Genuine Donation Gets to a Greedy Hand.

I completely agree with you. Even big institutions that ask for donations and do charity work are quite difficult to trust nowadays. I keep seeing ads on Facebook of people who are in a very bad state, and then they are gathering all these donations, but I just couldn't find it in myself to trust these people who are collecting these donations.

The nature of charity work is quite difficult to quantify. It's hard to see proof of where your money is going and if it's really helping people. I also see a lot of influencers nowadays who are gathering funding to be able to "help" people.

I saw this one guy who is also an influencer who was trying to help this kid. But then it turns out the family did not want the help. So what happened is he just kept the money for himself, which is just so sad. He didn't say what his plans are for the money, but it was days later when someone was asking for an update, and he just said "they don't want the money, so I had to respect their decision".

That's just so bad if you think about it because people are giving you money in faith that it's going to go to those who are in need, but then it doesn't. What happens is it gives people trust issues, and even if we have in our hearts the intention to be able to give more, there are a lot of these trust issues that are holding us back.

Normally, dishonesty can always create room for lack of trust , this is why I will advise anyone that wants to donate to any organization or person, to make good enquires, do some investigation before and after donation.
It's obvious that seeking for donations is now becoming a way of scamming kind-hearted people and that's absolutely bad.
