What inspires a window on the plane …
A cultural city, Bogotá…
We should always disconnect from the screens to enjoy the real thing. But I've enjoyed this weekend so much that I haven't been able to think about anything, just about having the best time possible.
We are welcomed when we feel sure of our identity.
I consider myself a traveler and for me, visiting Colombia is like going to your brother's house. You feel cultural familiarity and that is celebrated, as is diversity and authenticity.
This trip was very special for me, it was so enriching and I will tell you about it, why?
Because I had to stop for moments to document it and thus preserve those memories in time. It really filled my heart to visit the sister country, Colombia and, above all, to meet again the cousins with whom I grew up in my home country.
Because it was a quick trip to my favorite place in the real world, where being authentic and magical is all you need to get in. My happy place, them, my family in Bogotá. This beautiful city with its colonial areas and spectacular architecture offers a wide variety of international food restaurants and places specialized in nightlife with the bombastic music of the Vallenato, its parks, museums, and shopping centers also stand out.
There is nothing warmer than a family hug. Meeting up with my cousins
The relationships that will always exist are those that, despite the distance or circumstances, are transformed every day, from love and gratitude. I love you so much, together forever, my loves.
Happiness is definitely in the small details of life, Galen, in a coffee with your favorite people, a movie that fills you with your favorite color, a flower that reflects eternal love, dreaming in the clouds ... in addition to enjoying its mountainous climate, some very cold days and others warm as its people who are super friendly.
In fact, I have already been to this city several times for work reasons, but when you come to enjoy with family and friends, well, it's getting out of my comfort zone and I don't want to go back to it yet, Colombian coffee is very delicious and living life in this sister country, in Bogotá, is too exciting.
Enjoy a beautiful evening, that weekend, was the meeting of the paternal family including people like me, music lovers, music lovers, where talent is concentrated that simply connects and lets itself flow, in a divine ensemble, this trilogy of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we share a lot with music virtuosos from saxophone, cuatro, drum, percussion in all its lines, plus bass, guitar piano, vocals.
The traffic is medium intense, but the city is very well adapted for bicycles, there are many routes to get around safely, on the bike paths, as its people tell you.
On returning to my country I think about what I had fun, learned and enjoy this trip among cousins and friends.
It was a meeting of Gods, between cousins, from all musical genres, all ages, and from different places in the region, a true fusion... With a common commitment and music, each one with his own instrument, led by my cousin Carlos Eduardo, a cuatro virtuoso who emigrated a few years ago to Bogotá, Colombia, demonstrating that the Venezuelan cuatro can be integrated into any genre.
How important their presence is and how many anecdotes we are creating together along the way.
I love traveling, airport readings and what a window on the plane inspires.
Thank you to my cousins, for the beautiful moment...
Janitze.
