Visiting Small Entrepreneurs and Sunset Walking
1 May 2025
First and foremost, happy Labour Day to all diligent workers out there!
Every day, your devotion, enthusiasm, and effort contribute to a more productive world.
This vacation, take some time to rest and rejuvenate; you deserve it!
Recently, I've been visiting some small entrepreneurs in my town to get ideas for what business to start. We began cleaning the old store building and repairing whatever needed to be restored with the assistance of my brother, who knows carpentry.
It's difficult for me, both financially and mentally. I've never dealt with anything like this before, so I'm quite skeptical while also feeling overwhelmed by the excitement and potential. I know there is always uncertainty in such things, but I want to try, hoping that it will work in the long run.
The main reason for this is my late father. I once dreamed of him while I was in my slumber. In my dream, our store had reopened, and he was sitting in the corner with a sad expression. Since then, that dream has never left me, and I have often considered reopening our store building, as my late father's message in my dream. He left us with resources, but we are not utilizing them effectively to generate income. We have an unattended farm, an abandoned car, and other valuable equipment at home that he bought back then. Some of these have already been sold because no one is using them. And I'm unhappy about it because they may be valuable in many situations.
Back to the story...
Last time, I told you about visiting Tea'k a Sip, a snack shop near the beach. The owner and I discussed how she set up her small business and other things.
The goal of visiting small stores is to collect information and ideas about what business to start or where to buy the necessary materials.
On another day, I paid a visit to a small business owner in our town center. It's only a small shop. I inquired about how he set it up and where he franchised it. As with the previous one, he did not franchise his bubble tea business. Instead, he buys his ingredients at a local shop in the city, and his materials online. That information gave me another idea, and he provided me with the address in the city where I could purchase bubble tea ingredients and other essential equipment.

This time, I invited my other siblings to join me. We ordered bubble tea, frappes, and fries. The business also sells premium drinks. The prices here are higher than at the previous shop, most likely due to the space rental (if he is renting) and the fact that it is located in the town center.
I intended to take a sunset walk after purchasing some of the shop's products that we wanted to try.

In my honest opinion, the bubble tea in the prior shop tasted better than the bubble tea in this shop, but it was way more expensive. We could barely finish the refreshments we bought because they were too sweet.
We just relaxed and enjoyed the sunset and seaside views.

My niece also enjoyed biking along the promenade since we brought her bike with us that day.
Yesterday, because my niece was bored again, we went back to town and found another tiny shop that sold bubble tea, iced coffee, and other foods. That's when I discovered that the owner had franchised Duo Brew, one of the most popular coffee franchising businesses in the country.
I tried some of their drinks, and to my surprise, the pricing here is lower, and there are more flavor options than at the second shop. And the taste? It's perfect. Not too bland or sweet. I requested two bubble teas and two frappes. The mango-graham frappe was the best.
We savored our refreshments while wandering along the same promenade, enjoying the seaside and sunset views. It has become my favorite place in our town. This time, we stayed a little later until dusk.

On our way back to where we left our motorcycle, we came across my big brother's family, who were visiting the promenade for the first time. My two nieces noticed each other and started playing. After a while, we decided to part ways because it was getting darker.
I love the sunset view here
Entering the world of entrepreneurship is not simple. There are several hurdles along the way. But creating something fruitful is actually what I want to leave with my family in case I choose to work in other countries again someday. I hope to make it happen.
By the way, don't forget to Power Up!
Thanks for your time.
