Your father made every provision for taking you to the old airfield. A large but safe space - what a way to teach you! My kids and wife chide me for not having the patience to teach them how to drive. Ha, ha, ha.
And how did it go later as an independent driver? Did your father's driving lessons help you?

Oh yes I have driven all over the world and I must admit I am pretty good driver. He also made me learn to park properly. You know the thing, parallel parking which so many people cannot do properly!
