Yes, roughly 10000. To find out the exact species or at least the genus, I would need further information, for example when (which month) and where (which country) you found it etc. But due to the high number of different species and the not very detailed photo it still could be difficult.
However, to determine the family was not really difficult as these beetles look rather typical.

Exactly so, north of Russia, closer to Finland.
May it be Agrypnus murinus?
The most detailed photo I've came up with, looks like this:
Difficult to say, but for me it seems the antennae of Agrypnus murinus are more reddish and its scutum is broader than the one of the beetle in your pic.
Maybe it could be Prosternon tessellatum or a close relative, but I am not sure.
