The Flying Puma Lions in Action.
The Virginia Air Show is an annual event at the Virginia Airport about 10 KM north of Durban, South Africa.
The Flying Puma Lions once again took to the air for this great air show on August 10, 2025.
I marked this event on my calendar well in advance to make sure that we won't miss this out on it.
I normally don't enter the airport on air show days, as it becomes very crowded. I rather stick to surrounding areas around this airport as many other people are doing also. That way, I avoid the crowds, but I can still enjoy all the action in the skies above the airport.
I would love to share some photos I took during this year's air show.
The Flying Puma Lions had their four Harvards in the air. What an experience to see them in action.
In my first photo, three of the Harvards are about 75% through completing a loop.
Lifting their noses while roaring towards me...coming out of the loop.
For a split second, it felt like I was facing them head-on...quite intimidating...lol.
Seconds later they were roaring over my head.
All four Harvards flying in perfect formation.
A solo flight while the other three are preparing for more breath-taking moves.
After a spectacular show, they came in to land one-by-one. I noticed how this guy already opened the cock-pit even before he is back on the ground.
With that I will end today's post.
