I love family celebrations, the stuff great memories are made of.
We've had Humming Bird cake around in the past, haven't seen one in years. Although it is loved by many, I've never quite gotten into pineapple in cake, more the texture than taste. I do really love the roasted pineapple flowers on yours. I have never seen that before.

I think Hummingbird cake might be more popular in the south, but we all agreed that it should begin to be seen more frequently at our family celebrations!
The flowers were quite clever and tasty, too!
