Roles of parents in children's education

I define education as the upbringing of children to the society's demands.
I also define parents as persons who give birth to children.
In education, we have three types which are informal, formal and non-formal education. But I will love to deliberate on the two types of education; informal and formal education

1. Informal Education: This type of education takes place in the home where the parents teach the children how to sit, crawl, walk, cook, do domestic chores etc.

2. Formal Education: This type of education takes place in a set up place where children will leave their parents house to be tutored by someone else called teacher

Narration
Considering this two types of education, it involves two types of parents; biological and foster parent. But in most cases the biological parents lays more emphasis on informal education neglecting the formal education shifting the duties here to only teachers. I write to inform you parents that you have a role to play in your child's academic performance. When your child is back from school, sit him or her down try to ask some questions regarding school for that day, check their homework and help them to achieve it. Doing this will also not only help the teachers but your wards at large to develop concentration when lesson is on-going knowing fully that their parents will ask them much questions when they are home.

Please parents don't place all emphasis on your job neglecting your children's education for only their teachers.
