What is Valentine's Day to You?

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and the air is thick with anticipation. Hearts, chocolates, and romantic decorations are everywhere.

These are constant reminders that the special day is coming. A day that evokes a wide range of emotions. I remember the excitement of Valentine's Day even back in elementary school and high school. In elementary school, our teachers asked us to bring art materials to make hearts for our parents. In high school, we bought cards and flowers and chocolate and sent them to our secret crushes.

Of course, we are also eagerly anticipating who will give us cards, flowers, love letters, and chocolates. My classmates, friends, and I whether we were already in relationships, harboring secret crushes, or simply looking forward to the festive atmosphere of VALENTINE'S DAY, were all excited for that special day.

This year, however, the anticipation is heightened by an extraordinary sight.

A Giant Cake and Other Sweet Presents

This year, our town square boasts an incredible spectacle: a Valentine's Day cake of truly epic proportions! It's not a real cake, of course, but a massive, incredibly realistic creation, it is made of sturdy cloth or tarp, featuring a large, prominent heart at its peak, and is decorated with cherries.

This isn't just a large cake; it's a structure as big as a small building, a truly awe-inspiring sight that dwarfs everything around it. This cake makes you contemplate: Is this the true spirit of Valentine's Day, a grand display of sweetness?

Family and Couples Celebrations:

For many, Valentine's Day is a time for expressing love and appreciation to those closest to them. Families and couples alike eagerly anticipate this day, filled with excitement for the special gifts they'll exchange. Children excitedly craft handmade cards and gifts for their parents, siblings, and friends, while romantic partners plan special dates and thoughtful presents to express their affection.
