The most healthy form of comparison is the **Past, present and the future**

Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone is today.

One Rule in life that people disregard or rather I will say they take it in a wrong direction and this direction has taken so many to their early grave some has lost their stand in life.

Comparison There was a time when I once scolded my mum when she tried to compare me to one of my peers back then, that was about 15 years ago.

Her statement “ Can't you see what Timothy does? Keep it the way Timothy used to keep his.
Do this, Do that all compared to one individual who looks like he is doing better than I but deep down inside of me I could tell that I was keeping quality grades each day of my life.

All I try to do is within my capacity. I never wanted to go beyond what I can do just because i wanted to please my mum or even be better than someone else

To some extent I can say it is good that's if one has a positive mindset, that's if you are thinking in the right direction, then the only thing you will think of is just how to improve yourself as an individual but then if it's to compare with someone else then at that point it becomes competition striving to be better and the only recognized individual in the vicinity.

This kind of comparison can only lead to hatred and enmity sets in as well, thereby bringing in some dubious means to survive and be better than everyone .

It's more healthy to compare yourself with the old you and this will only help you improve better when you discover the old is better than the new but in all this there is no room for hatred as you can't hate yourself.

Check the present situation of your life, compare it to the past situation, then make the future better than both the present and the past.
This is the only healthy form of comparison I know.
