Hello friends, welcome to yet another prompt on the hive reach out. I must say it's crucial and important that everyone minds what they state and accept as a norm in the society.

One statement I have not and will not agree with is “MONEY DOESN'T BUY HAPPINESS” the fact that Happiness is an emotional act that everyone exhibits
tell their state of mind.

I ask this question if money can't buy happiness then what exactly brings happiness?

Because to me happiness is being at a level when things are in place that can cause someone's emotional state to be in a positive direction. Those things in question can only be acquired with money.

I could remember some 6 years ago when I go an admission letter into a college to study a course I applied for.

The excitement in regards to the letter was overwhelming until my mum took a deep breath and asked “How do we fund the process of registration and the fee?” Since we barely eat 3 square meals a day.

Immediately that statement landed in my ears I could feel every atom of happiness sank down into a pit of some hopelessness.

At that same moment I felt my happiness dashed to the ground. My happiness was immediately converted to its opposite. At that moment I want to ask people who said Money can't buy happiness to give a honest answer to the question, what can bring back my happiness at that point?

I didn't see anything like happiness coming my way until my Dad surprised me with the money he got from God knows where. “I got this money from a piece of land I acquired long ago. It was meant to be your inheritance but I believe this is the purpose it was obtained for. All you need to do is make sure you don't make me regret this action.”

These were my father's words. Immediately once again I could feel some hope coming alive, a natural smile to my face at the hearing of such good news.

Let's not even talk of someone who has a health issue that needs urgent attention in the hospital but then lacks financial capacity to help get that medical attention. Happiness at such moments is Money, even though the person is sick. It's different when you are sick and you know you can afford hospital bills and quite different and frustrating when you are sick but know you will die simply because there is no money to buy medical attention, how do you explain the statement (Money can't buy happiness) to such a person?

Let's not talk of a man with 3 children living in a mansion in a well developed area with good food and nice clothings and a man with 3 children living in a single room in some ghetto and undeveloped community struggling to get even a meal for a day.

Please don't tell me money can't buy happiness. By the time these 2 families are presented to you as a case study, a little question and answer from both families will explain how valuable money is in terms of generating happiness.

So please I want to urge those that don't have Money to try and make some. Lack of it is what brings such statements.

Shalom
