My favourite quote. Prompt 48
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but rising every time we fall.”
Only a Coward will fall and choose not to stand up.
I feel sorry for anyone who has not fallen as the limit and the capacity to his strength is yet to be measured.
Life doesn't end at a point when you think you have lost but it a great avenue for one to re-strategise using a systematic approach by getting up and with an unbending effort and focus you forge ahead like nothing had really happened, but while on that do not forget to take note of every obstacle or rather stumbling blocks that led to each of your fall.
This quote has been a source of my strength to my rising each time I fall.
Falling is a part of life. And also a basis for winning.
Fear anyone who has never fallen, The simple reason is that you don't get to know the level of strength that lies in him and he should not take glory in him never falling because he might not be able to rise when he eventually goes down.
Such people can not be used as mentors as they don't have a storyline as regards to their success story that if they even achieve height called success. These kinds of people probably must have when all the falls and corrections have been made.
So the enjoy the leverage set before them and that could be their entire life because they have people around them who have experienced such and are there to mentor them throughout their dealings.
I came from a family that was well doing, Like I was born with a silver spoon. My childhood was something to write home about people who lived around us as at then could testify to that fact life was sweet as at then.
I saw everything crumbled to the ground as the pillar of the house could no longer hold the house, I saw my dad lose almost everything he has laboured for he sold most of his belongings just to keep the house going but then this is where we measure the strength of a man, he picked the remains of him and started again all the process of my teenage was filled with struggles of how we could restore the glory of the house back to its former glory.
My father will always say that tough Times don't last but tough people do.
Only tough people will be able to stand the taste of time and this can be known only when you find your knees on the ground.
I am happy to be part of the second rising, I am glad it happened at a time when I can learn, I am glad I was a contributor to that storyline.
I could remember how I engaged in some menial jobs which I never thought I would ever do in my life, people who see me do those jobs were surprised to see me do those things I did, and you hear comments like “I never knew you are this strong”. Some hard labour that involves carrying of bricks mixing and serving cement to a menson who lay the bricks in fact it was horrible but then I had to do it so just we could have something to eat at home.
Being the first son sometime comes with sacrifice, I paid that sacrifice and I am still paying it.
I was glad I tasted that part of life and trust me don't regret it as it has become a once upon a time story to the future and when something like that happens again I am sure of the best strategy to go about it.
But Then I can't allow myself to be messed up twice by the same condition “once I've fallen twice shy”.
That's a scar with a good explanation.
The quote by a popular black president Late president NELSON MANDELA of South Africa.
