When we are talking of the future we are literally talking about the leaders that will ensure that our tomorrow is great.
As a parent, you won't know that you are part of that tomorrow we are talking about until what you call leaders of tomorrow happens to make that tomorrow a nightmare and more difficult for you as a parent.
The role of both parents and the society in making the leaders of tomorrow great can not be underestimated as both parties have their parts to play in the lives of the children.
The role of the parent if I am asked? I will say impartation is what the parent should do majorly on their children. They impart stuff that will guide their path as what they have inside of them is what keeps them on the right path and it won't easily be erased from their memory as it will be a part of them.
I grew up in a house where my mum will still discipline you, not because you caused trouble but simply because you were found in the vicinity where the trouble happened. When there is trouble outside and your name is mentioned even if you are not fully involved just be ready to face the wrath of my mum, she raised us in such a way that whenever we see an incoming trouble you take to heels without looking back.
There are so many cases when I am being bullied by someone who is stronger than I but I dare not cry home and dare not report such a case to my mum, why? Because she expects me to flee from trouble when you see one Coming your way.
Now as a child, that way of life registered in my head and trust me even till date I can still boast of not having any record of me making trouble and this has kept me from dangers that would have led to regrettable actions.
If as a parent you want to really experience peace at your old age then ensure to do the right thing in the life of your children as failure to do this will lead to a tomorrow that will be filled with regret since the leaders of tomorrow are not well bred.
Society from its end has a major role to play in the lives of children. The society is known for influencing. The society gives shape to what the parent has moulded already.
The children tend to flow with whatever wave the society presents to them, in that case they take shape trying to blend in and not being an alien in a place where you should be well recognised.
Society should know that when a child grows up to become a thief he doesn't steal from his parents house but instead he inflicts pain on the society in general by taking from it what should be of good use to everyone who should have helped in the upbringing of such a child.
The only pain in the family is the tarnishing of image and good legacy.
Society should keep good morals in the lives of children and make sure every child is on the right path regardless of his home or family. When they become good the society benefits from it and when it comes the other way round the society will suffer the consequences of not correcting a child who is moving on a wrong path.
