Defining good music can be so easy as it varies, everyone has got ears for what he or she loves.
Music that might sound sweet and good to your ears might sound awkward and dull to other ears.

If I am asked to define what good music sounds like, I will say it's music that boosts the mind, music that gives strength, music that brings happiness. If these 3 things can be achieved from a music then I guarantee you that there is nothing more to look for in that music.

The mind deals with emotions and so when emotions set in, it tends to bring one down to a point where the person seem to lose his sense of reasoning once one begins to lose focus in life his or her life tends to begin to turn upside down and at that moment he or she begin to lose strength both physically and emotionally but you discover the person begin to go down the drain that's simply because his mind is been attacked and all he see at that moment is just failures upon failures the person in question is even afraid of trying new things simply because of the fear is losing and then the happiness of such a person is tempered with since he can't achieve most things set in mind to achieve he temporarily becomes unhappy and if care is not taken such a person might be led into committing suicide since nothing seems to be working.

Now good music is capable of bringing such a person up to his feet. That music gives you lyrics that tell exactly what you are going through and then gives a solution to each of the problems. It can even go aheads by telling you a story of someone who has gone through the same situation as the one you are passing through.

I have seen our parents sing songs or even listened to music that lifts their soul in times of troubles when even as children we could tell that all is not fine.
They seem to draw strength and hope from such music but the funniest thing is that we tend not to derive any sense from such music even when the lyrics are clear and understandable or maybe it's because it doesn't fall within our generation we fancy musics that brings live to the body music that will take you up on your feet making you dance until you sweat.
My father will just laugh and ask do you hear what they are saying?

He will always say listen to good music that will help you boost your capability in life, music that will teach you what life is all about, music that will tell you stories of how good life use to be, music that will tell what the future holds, Music that you will tell every word directly to your ears even without searching for the lyrics online.

You can see that the major reason why you guys search for lyrics from the internet is simply because most of the music you listen to does not communicate directly to you.
