A picture worth a thousand words. April 1st

Greg jumped out of bed as soon as he heard the voice of Deborah.
“ Are you not going to Dr Ibbi’s lecture?” That question cleared sleep from my eye since I have no smartphone to access every information in my class. So all information is passed to me via Debbie as I will always call her.

I rushed to the bathroom, took my bath, got dressed as soon as possible, picked up my books and got ready to go.

Hello Debbie, I am ready to go. I called on my course mate as I arranged the collar of my rumpled clothes that was the best among them all as There was no time to iron the shirt.

Debbie responded while in her room. Please just give me some minutes. I will soon join you.

All these ladies will always be them, this is a lecturer that will not allow us into his class when we get there late you know that. I tried to hurry Debbie just so we don't go late.
But then she still replied please give me some minutes.

This is 6:45am. You know this class is for 7am. How do we get to the class in 5 minutes?
Don't worry we will make use of the bike , she replied. She comes from a rich family so I know fitting our transport will not be a big deal.

I was running out of patience and for the fact that I don't want to take chances I took off leaving Debbie behind, I took to my heels trying to see how I will beat the time.
2 minutes away from the house while I was still walking fast My phone rang it was Debbie, maybe it's another information so I quickly picked the call. “April Fool,” she shouted on the phone. Coming back home there are no lectures this morning.

Jeez!!

Today is April 1st. What do I do to this lady for this stress? I quickly rushed home but Debbie knew I would be coming for her so she locked her door and did not open until she was sure I was calm.

Whenever it's April 1st the same incident drops in my heart giving me some funny memory of one crazy coursemate I once had. That was the worst April fool I have ever experienced.
