Usual Rate / Thursday / Taal Volcano

Usual Rate
I had a conversation with one of the construction workers, and he had mentioned that time will come, only few will be building a house. He noticed the new generation not having the desire to become a construction worker. Of course, if there's an easier job, I will choose it than the heavy work.
I do understand the sentiment though. Construction job in our country is not easy because the salary isn't that high compared to other countries. If you also wanted to have your own house, cost is too high with the materials. Hence, you settle on the usual rate to pay the workers. What's really making things harder is the high prices and inflation. Corruption also has its role why everything seems expensive nowadays.
Thursday
Woke up early because of some pain on my right ear. It feels quite thick, and I need to have calculated move. The pain lessens as the day progresses. Still, I need to be protective as I went to the construction site.
Taal Volcano
Taal Volcano is located in a lake, which is actually a caldera. It is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.

If the trades fail (construction included) society fails. I started from the ground up (electrical fitter); to design, to finance, to management. Here in NZ not only are the Trades encouraged, but also the quality of the training is encouraged to maintain high standards.
When a worker (any field) is proud of what they have built and is on display by not only the client, but the outside world. This encourages recruitment and growth.
I know if your friend says to a family member at a social gathering, I helped build that airport's foundation. Someone listening just might say "I would like to learn how to do that"
Construction is vision, a way of life, always building the future for all.
PS: No this is not a commercial for an HR department, I still do the odd electrical work and I'm proud of where it all started.
