Hopeful

We're hopeful because there are times when the sun is showing up. However, rain falls occasionally. The flood water has gone down but not enough to go home. In other towns and city, water has gone deeper. Still, we're positive that we're on the road to recovery. It's already five days since we transferred to my sister's house. We're longing to get back to our normal lives but the end of rainy and monsoon season is still a long way to go.

Saturday

I joined weekend meeting virtually today, and delivered a discourse. The sun has been appearing, and I hope it will be the start to dryness of everything after being submerged now for 5 days. Our road is still submerged but flood water is going down.

High Tide

High tide is actually contributing to floods. It can go up as high as 1 meter, but in Bulacan, the highest reached 5 meters. That's too high! Of course, the water level goes down during low tide. In some of the pictures, the water level was actually during high tide, especially the river which was shown.
