Greetings, beautiful and precious people of #HiveDIY, I had a long time without posting here and it is very difficult because I have relatively no time to do crafts. Today I have brought you a beautiful card, ideal for cat and cake lovers. Three days ago I celebrated 2 years of having joined this ecosystem, something that fills me with a lot of emotion. And this card is also a way to celebrate those two years that I have completed as a hiver. Soon I will also have a birthday, guess how many years I am going to be.

When you are a child and you want to give a gift to a relative to the father, mother, grandmother, sister, or aunt, and you have no money, then you choose to take a page and make a humble drawing as a greeting card with a few scribbles forming phrases and colored with imperfections. And the honored relative is admired for the artistic work of the boy or girl. But as time went by, as we grew older we opted to buy ready-made cards from factories. Then, as adults, we try to work on our birthday cards with artwork, with paper crafts. I have seen several models and I have adapted this design that I give details below.

Saludos, gente bella y preciosa de #HiveDIY, tenía muchísimo tiempo sin publicar acá y es que es bien difícil porque relativamente no dispongo de tiempo para hacer manualidades. Hoy les he traído una hermosa tarjeta, ideal para los amantes de gatos y de las tortas. Hace tres días cumplí 2 años de haber ingresado a este ecosistema, algo que me llena mucho de emoción. Y esta tarjeta también es una forma de celebrar esos dos añitos que he cumplido como hiver. Pronto también voy a cumplir años, adivinen cuantos años voy a cumplir.

Cuando niño y quieres hacer un regalo a un familiar al papa, mamá, abuela, hermana o tía, además no se tiene dinero, entonces se opta por tomar una página y hacer un humilde dibujo como tarjeta de felicitación con unos garabatos formando frases y coloreado con imperfecciones. Y el familiar homenajeado queda admirado del trabajo artístico del niño o niña. Pero al trascurrir el tiempo, con mas años optamos por comprar tarjetas ya hechas en fábricas. Luego más adultos buscamos trabajar nuestra tarjeta de cumpleaños con trabajo artísticos, con artesanías en papel. He visto varios modelos y he adaptado este diseño que a continuación doy detalles.

• We take the base cardboard, smaller than the cardboard that will be the cover, and draw the second floor of the cake. With a length of 12x4cm (width x height). We cut with the scissors on the lateral lines, never the horizontal line that joins them. Then with the help of the same ruler, we fold on the horizontal line. Fold inward and this should be our second floor of the cake.

• Tomamos la cartulina base, de menor tamaño que la cartulina que será la portada, y dibujamos el primer piso de la torta. Con una longitud de 12x4cm (ancho x altura). Recortamos con la tijera en las líneas laterales, jamás la línea horizontal que las une. Luego con ayuda de la misma regla, doblamos en la línea horizontal. Doblamos hacia adentro y así nos debe de quedar nuestro primer piso de la torta.

• We proceed to draw the 2nd floor of the cake, with a length of 9 cm and a height of 3 cm. We cut, taking care not to cut both cardboards. And we fold with the help of the ruler on the horizontal line. And then we fold it inwards as follows.

• Procedemos a dibujar el 2 piso de la torta, con una longitud de 9 cm y una altura de 3 cm. Cortamos, cuidando de no cortar ambas cartulinas. Y doblamos con ayuda de la regla en la línea horizontal. Y luego doblamos hacia adentro quedando de la siguiente manera.

• We follow the previous steps, but in this case the third floor will have a length of 6 cm and a height of 2 cm.

• Seguimos los pasos anteriores, pero en este caso el tercer piso tendrá una longitud de 6 cm y una altura de 2 cm.

• If you are like me, not having practice with the marker and not knowing how to draw directly with it, I recommend you to make sketches of the figures you want to capture on the card. Then you proceed to paint them with markers and colors. We do this with the inside and the cover of the card.

• Si eres como yo, de no tener práctica con el marcador y no saber dibujar directamente con él, te recomiendo hacer bocetos de las figuras que quieras plasmar en la tarjeta. Luego de ello procedes a pintarlos con marcadores y colores. Esto lo hacemos con la parte de adentro y la portada de la tarjeta.

Ready the card in third dimension, Pop Up technique...

I was going to make this card on Tuesday night, but sleep and tiredness got the better of me. I got up very early in the morning and started the challenge, I had to finish it before 8:00 am, because I had to have breakfast and go to the university at 9:00 am. This card was a personal commission for a special person.

I am happy to make this card because it is for a special family member, in this case I made it with love and affection, you do not know how I made the time to make it, I even stopped eating (breakfast) for several minutes until I managed to finish it on Wednesday before going to college.

Listo la tarjeta en tercera dimensión, técnica Pop Up…

Esta tarjeta la iba a hacer en la noche del martes, pero el sueño y el cansancio me dominó. Me levanté muy temprano en la mañana y comencé el reto, debía terminarla antes de las 8:00 am, porque tendría que desayunar e ir a la universidad a la 9:00 am. Esta tarjeta fue un encargo personal para un ser especial.

Me contenta hacer esta tarjeta porque es para un familiar especial, en este caso la hice con cariño y amor, ustedes no saben como hice para sacar tiempo para realizarla, hasta dejé de comer (desayuno) por varios minutos hasta que logré terminarla el miércoles antes de ir a la universidad.

En este momento de hacer la publicación, ya la tarjeta está entregada y ella muy feliz en recibirla, le gustó mucho, nunca había recibido una así, quedó sorprendida. Menos mal que el trabajo que pasé haciéndola no fue en vano.
