Saludos, amigas de #LadiesOfHive. Les deseo a todas un feliz Año Nuevo 2026. Me ausenté unos cuantos días el año pasado porque lo necesitaba. Y este año llegó algo loco a mi país y, aunque al parecer nuestra situación se ve crítica, aquí las personas en donde vivo intentan llevar su vida lo más normal posible, siempre que la situación lo permita. De cualquier modo, hoy quiero participar en el Concurso LOH #270. Las preguntas elaboradas fueron hechas por mi querida @sacra97 y dicen así:

1️⃣ La vida es muy corta para estarse preocupando demasiado: ¿Cómo te gusta comenzar tus mañanas?

2️⃣ Me encantaría saber cuáles son las cosas que te hacen reír en tu vida. ¿Puedes contarnos?

Greetings, friends of #LadiesOfHive. I wish you all a happy New Year 2026. I was absent for a few days last year because I needed to. And this year, something crazy happened in my country, and although our situation seems critical, people here, where I live, try to live their lives as normally as possible, whenever the situation allows. Anyway, today I want to participate in the LOH Contest #270. The questions were created by my dear @sacra97 and are as follows:

1️⃣ Life is too short to worry too much: How do you like to start your mornings?

2️⃣ I would love to know what things make you laugh in your life. Can you tell us?

Respondiendo a la primera pregunta, aunque me cuesta mucho levantarme temprano en las mañanas, cada vez que lo hago, lo primero que suelo hacer es irme a servir una buena taza de café con leche y, si no hay leche, entonces toca café negro, pero soy team café con leche.

Answering the first question, although I find it very difficult to get up early in the mornings, every time I do, the first thing I usually do is go and pour myself a good cup of coffee with milk, and if there is no milk, then it's black coffee, but I'm a coffee with milk team.

Luego de servirme mi taza de café, me siento en la PC para revisar Hive y buscar inspiración para armar mi post del día, pero con todo lo que ha estado sucediendo últimamente, he perdido un poquito bastante la inspiración para concentrarme y armar mis posts diariamente.

En cuanto a la segunda pregunta, ¿qué me hace reír? Para serles honesta, es una de las cosas que hago muy poco y que más debo mejorar este año. Sin embargo, que lo haga poco no significa que nunca lo haga.

Regarding the second question, what makes me laugh? To be honest, it's one of the things I do very little and that I really need to improve this year. However, just because I do it a little doesn't mean I never do it.

De las cosas que me hacen reír están los memes. Memes de todo tipo: solía compartir memes diarios por mi estado de WhatsApp, pero, como dije en un inicio, mis ánimos no han estado muy bien del todo, así que lo dejé por un tiempo, al igual que revisar mis redes sociales para hacer cacería de memes.

One of the things that makes me laugh is memes. Memes of all kinds: I used to share memes daily on my WhatsApp status, but, as I said at the beginning, my spirits haven't been very high lately, so I stopped for a while, as well as checking my social media to hunt for memes.

Así que, obviando lo que hacía antes y me daba risa, lo que me robó unas cuantas carcajadas antes de finalizar el año y empezando enero, han sido los loros de mi vecino. Un par bastante gracioso de escuchar hablar cuando se pegan a hablar. Me da mucha risa la personalidad que tienen y la respuesta que dan cuando uno les dice hola. También voltean a verte y te miran con un solo ojo; es muy gracioso verlos hacer eso.

So, putting aside what I used to do that made me laugh, what really got me chuckling before the end of the year and into January were my neighbor's parrots. They're quite a funny pair to listen to when they get together and chatter. I find their personalities hilarious, especially the way they respond when you say hello. They also turn around and stare at you with one eye; it's so funny to watch them do that.

Por último, los que más me han dado tranquilidad y también alegría en mis días cargados de oscuridad han sido mis perritos. Pegui-Pegui, Drako y Yara (de izquierda a derecha). Ellos, con sus ocurrencias, sobre todo a la hora de comer, me roban unas cuantas carcajadas y unas cuantas sonrisas también al despertar y antes de dormir. Son mi gran apoyo emocional.

Y bueno, a partir del 4 de enero me he reído más que en diciembre sólo de ver las reacciones de los que quedan en el régimen y lo que se inventan para seguir creyendo que tienen el poder. Esa risa no me la esperaba y ha sido la más genial y la que mejor me ha hecho sentir estos días.

Finally, the ones who have brought me the most peace and joy during my darkest days have been my dogs: Pegui-Pegui, Drako, and Yara (from left to right). With their antics, especially at mealtimes, they make me laugh a few times and bring a smile to my face when I wake up and before I go to sleep. They are my greatest emotional support.

And well, since January 4th, I've laughed more than in all of December just watching the reactions of those still in power and the things they invent to keep believing they're in control. I didn't expect that laughter, and it's been the most wonderful and the one that has made me feel the best these past few days.
