"Snow White & Rose Red" A fairytale by Grimm Brothers -ENG / SPA-
Hello, my reader friends! How are you today? When I was a child, I remember how much I loved fairy tales, and I want to share with you one of my favorites: “Snow White and Rose Red” a beautiful story by the Grimm Brothers about two little girls who live with their mother in a cottage. Rose Red was a cheerful and lively girl who prefers to be outdoors, while Snow White is more shy and prefers to spend her time doing chores at home. Their mother was very happy because her daughters were very good, well-behaved girls who were liked by everyone who knew them.
Hola, mis amigos lectores! Como están? Cuando era niña, recuerdo lo mucho que me gustaban los cuentos de hadas, y les quiero compartir uno de mis favoritos: "Blanca Nieves y Rosa Roja" una hermosa historia de los Hermanos Grimm acerca de dos niñas que viven con su mamá en una cabaña. Rosa Roja era una niña alegre y vivaz que prefiere estar al aire libre, mientras que Blanca Nieves es más tímida y prefiere pasar el tiempo haciendo los quehaceres en casa. Su madre estaba muy feliz porque sus hijas eran niñas muy buenas, educadas y le caían muy bien a todos los que las conocían.
In winter the family welcomes a bear into their home at night, who becomes their friend, and when summer arrives they are saddened because the bear must return to the forest to protect his treasures. Also in summer the girls help a dwarf several times, who turns out to be evil because they later discover that he not only stole their treasures from the bear, but also cursed him and turned him into a bear, a curse that is broken when the dwarf dies, and he becomes a Prince. Years later, the Prince ends up married to Snow White, and Rose Red marries the Prince's brother and they all live happily ever after.
En invierno la familia acoge a un oso en su casa por las noches, que se convierte en su amigo y al llegar el verano se entristecen porque el oso debe volver al bosque a proteger sus tesoros. También en verano las muchachas ayudan a un enano varias veces, que resulta ser malvado porque luego descubren que no solamente le robaba sus tesoros al oso, sino que también lo maldijo y convirtió en un oso, maldición que se rompe al morir el enano, y se convierte en un príncipe. Años después, el príncipe termina casado con Blanca Nieves, y Rosa Roja se casa con el hermano del príncipe y todos vivieron felices para siempre.
The Brothers Grimm are in the childhood of all of us as the authors of many of the stories we know and I have always liked this one in particular, at first I thought it was related to the story of Snow White and the seven dwarfs, however, although the names of the protagonists are the same, they are not related to each other. I really like this story because it tells us about brotherly love, and kindness since, the family has been kind to take in the bear in winter being a complete stranger and they get attached to him quickly, and treat him as a member of the family and, even though the goblin was an evil character, they in their innocence also decided to be kind to him and help him more than once, also even though the goblin was rude and mistreated them every time.
Los Hermanos Grimm están en la niñez de todos nosotros al ser autores de muchos de los cuentos que conocemos y este en particular siempre me ha gustado, al principio pensaba que se relacionaba con la historia de Blancanieves y los siete enanos sin embargo, aunque el nombre de las protagonistas es igual, no guardan ninguna relación entre sí. Me gusta mucho este cuento porque nos habla sobre el amor fraternal, y la bondad ya que, la familia ha sido bondadosa al acoger al oso en invierno siendo un completo desconocido y se encariña con él rápidamente, y lo tratan como un miembro más de la familia y, a pesar de que el duende era un personaje malvado, ellas en su inocencia también decidieron ser bondadosas con él y ayudarlo más de una vez, también a pesar de que el duende era grosero y las maltrataba cada vez.
Another thing I love about this story is the pure love the sisters have for each other. While we often find feelings of rivalry and envy between sisters in stories, here it's the complete opposite. I also like the values each one is given, and they also show us that everything good that is done in life comes back to us, since they earned their happy ending by being who they are.
Otra cosa que me encanta de esta historia, es el amor tan puro que se tienen las hermanas mutuamente ya que, la mayoría de las veces encontramos en los cuentos sentimientos de rivalidad y envidia entre hermanas, aqui es totalmente lo contrario. También me gustan los valores que se le da a cada una, y también nos demuestran que todo lo bueno que se hace en la vida se regresa, ya que se ganaron su final feliz por ser como son.
In conclusion, I would say that this is a very beautiful fairytale worth sharing with our children, and personally, it's one of the most beautiful stories I remember from my childhood. Although other adaptations have been presented over time with other authors, this one, in my opinion, is the best. It's been a pleasure to share it with all of you today!
Para concluir, diría que esta es un cuento de hadas muy bonito que vale la pena compartir con nuestros niños, y en lo personal es uno de los cuentos más bonitos que recuerdo de mi infancia. Aunque a lo largo del tiempo se han presentado otras adaptaciones con otros autores, esta a mi parecer es la mejor. Ha sido un placer poder compartirlo el dia de hoy con todos ustedes!
