Soap basically is substance that aids washing and cleaning either body, fabric or other materials.
The kind of soap you use depends on several factors. Some soaps have mild ingredients that can preserve the texture and color of fabrics.
This reminds me of something painful that happened to me some years ago.
I was preparing for my school's end of the year party. I was one of the students to do a special presentation. In a bid a to look stunning I requested for a new shirt and trouser from my parent. Fortunately I was given ,about two three days to the event. I noticed a dirt on the shirt though it wasn't significant, but I insisted on washing it to make it sparkling.
I dipped in a bucket and brought out a soap from the house I few seconds of washing I noticed the color of the water changed to deep green. I knew I was in for a mess. I quickly removed the clothes and behold the color had washed off. It turned something different. I was so sad. I got to discover that the soap wasn't suitable for the clothe.
