Decoding the Canvas of Crime Rate in Our Locale

I am starting this post with this quote from Jack London
"Every crime is born of necessity. If you want less crime, you must change the conditions. Poverty makes crime. Want, rags, crusts, misfortune — all these awake the wild beast in man, and finally he takes and takes contrary to law, and becomes a criminal."
This is what happening all over the world. The origin of each and every crime is poverty and inflation. Some Countries/cities have high crime rates and some have low. This is the result of the government's actions which it takes to lower the crime rate.
Sadly our government is not able to do that. They are failed to control the crime and we are living in a failed state.
The saddest thing is we can't even stand for our rights when we try, the rich or powerful people crush us with their power of money and influence and as a result, we indulge in more complexities.
I am living in Multan, which was once considered one of the safest cities in my country. We could easily go out at any time we want. No matter if it is a day or night. We knew no one is going to hurt us.
But the situation has changed now. We are in some kind of jail even in our houses.
Inflation has raised so sharply that, It has become very hard to survive and meet the requirements.
Let me give you an example, Almost two years ago, a person who was earning 30k PKR was earning a happy full life. With these 30k Rupees, he was easily meeting his family's needs and also saving some money.
After two years, the same person is earning 50k, Almost double what he was earning two years ago, but inflation has risen so much that, he isn't able to meet even the half requirements of his family.
As a result, People are getting frustrated and the ratio of street crimes has increased very fast.
What will people do? if they are not able to full fill the basic needs of their family. They will become criminals and this is where things are getting wrong and our government is busy in doing corrections and things like this.
I have just checked the Crime Rate of my city on Google, it shows the crime rate in my city is low. I don't think so it's an updated ranking. The real and updated rating will be way too high.
How it could be on the low level? when in just two days, there have been 5 to 10 robberies happened in my area?
Criminals are on the loose. They are harming the innocent people.
Let me tell you about the two incidents that My brother has witnessed himself. He was coming from the shop at 2:30 AM. Some criminals on the road grabbed the bike of a person in front of his eyes and run away.
The other incident happened with the brother of my friend. This happens in the daylight in the morning. Some people on the bike stopped him, they have guns. they snatched his mobile and run away. He couldn't do anything because they have guns.
The 3rd incident happens near the house of my inlaws where Some criminals stand like a gang and they theft almost 8 to 9 motors bikes.
It is really sad to tell you guys about all this, but this is the reality and we can't hide it.
Do pray for our people. The Government should have to take steps to stop all this. Otherwise, situations will become worse.

Hmm!! Poverty is the root of all these evil. People want to survive by all means, they tried different things and it's not working out, so they just feel it's better to do evil to make fortune but that's bad though. If the government would help the poor and tackle this issue of inflation, I am sure the issue of crime will drop to a great extend.
Sorry about what happened to your brother, it's happening every where now. We just have to be vigilant

Just as you highlighted, bad governance is actually one major cause of crime in the world if we're to be sincere with ourselves.
If only we had good governance, peace would be the order-of-the day
Sadly, the current system we are living in today doesn't support good governance, If someone tries to do good, they get behaved badly at the hands of the garbage system.
