My Journey: From a Quiet fears to Bold freedom

Hiveblog1.jpg.jpg

Hello! I’m truly excited to be writing my very first post here on this amazing platform. My name is @itsmelyn,and I’m incredibly happy and grateful to be part here. After spending a lot of time reading and exploring other blogs, I’ve finally decided to take a leap of faith and start putting my own words out into the world. Writing has always been something close to my heart. Whether it’s journaling my thoughts ,expressing ideas, or simply reflecting on everyday experiences, it’s my way of connecting—with myself and with others. Starting this blog feels like a big step, but also a very natural one. This blog will be a space where I share my travel adventures, personal experiences, and creative ideas. I love discovering new places, meeting different people, and learning about various cultures. Through my writing, I hope to bring my journeys to life, not just through stories but also through the lessons and inspiration they bring. Journey exciting. I’m open to growing, improving, and engaging with fellow creators along the way. I would truly appreciate any support, advice, or feedback you might have

About Me

I am an introverted young lady who deeply values peace, solitude, and the beauty of my own company. I’ve always felt most comfortable in quiet spaces, where I can reflect, recharge, and simply be myself without pressure or distractions. While I enjoy connecting with others in meaningful ways, I find my true energy comes from spending time alone—whether I’m reading a book, exploring a new place on my own. Or just sitting in silence with my thoughts, One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was choosing to move into my own space. It was a turning point in my life—an act of independence that brought me a deep sense of freedom and self-discover. Having a space that’s entirely mine has allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined. I’ve found comfort, creativity, and clarity in being able to shape my environment around my own rhythm and needs. This lifestyle may seem quiet to some, but to me, It’s rich with meaning.Every solo walk, quiet morning, or moment of reflection is part of how I understand myself and the world. I believe there is something powerful in learning how to be content on your own—and that’s a journey I’m still happily exploring.

I grew up without the presence of my father, and yes, I come from what many would call a broken family. There were moments when the absence of that father figure felt overwhelming—especially during times when I needed guidance, protection, or simply someone to look up to. Growing up in that kind of environment wasn’t easy. There were emotional gaps, unanswered questions, and silent struggles that I carried within me from a young age.
But despite all of that, I’ve managed to stand firm. I’ve faced challenges that tested not only my strength but my sense of self-worth.

Anyway, Let’s get back to something that brings me real joy—My hobbies, One of my absolute favorites, is reading books. There's something incredibly comforting about getting lost in the pages of a good story. Whether it’s fiction that transports me to another world, or nonfiction that opens my eyes to new ideas and perspectives, books have always been a safe space for me. I love the quiet moments spent turning pages, discovering new characters, and diving into stories that stay with me long after I’ve finished them. Reading isn’t just a pastime—It’s a part of who I am, and it always helps me feel inspired, grounded, and connected in a unique way.

And of course, my reading sessions wouldn’t be complete without a cup of coffee by my side.(This Folgers coffee is my favorite). There’s just something magical about the combination of a good book and a warm cup of coffee—it creates the perfect atmosphere for quiet reflection and escape. The aroma, the warmth, and the comforting taste of coffee make the entire experience even more enjoyable. I’ve come to love those peaceful moments where I can sip slowly.

Okay, next! This girl in the black shirt is my unexpected but very special friend. This photo was taken last year during the Christmas season— a time filled with surprises and warm memories. The entire place was glowing with color—bright, festive, and absolutely beautiful. It felt we were walking through a holiday wonderland. What made the moment even more special was sharing it with someone who has been in my life for so long. She’s not just a longtime friend—we’ve shared so many memories growing up. Both of us are active in church, which is where our friendship really began to deepen. We’ve spent countless afternoons hanging out, opening up about our lives, and supporting each other. Being the eldest daughters in our households, we both carry similar responsibilities and understand the pressure that comes with that role. That shared experience gave us a strong connection—we can talk about anything without fear of judgment. Reconnecting with her during that Christmas season reminded me how meaningful true friendship can be, especially the ones that stay rooted no matter how much time passes.

I’m Currently working from home, and there’s something truly comforting about being able to earn a living while staying in my own space. The peacefulness of being alone, without the noise and rush of the outside world, allows me to focus better and feel more at ease throughout the day. There’s a certain kind of joy in waking up, making a cup of coffee, and starting my work in a space that feels safe and familiar. It may not always be easy, but the comfort of home and the independence it brings make it all worthwhile. Being able to support myself while staying in a calm environment is something I’m really grateful for.

I recently welcomed a new pet into my life, and as someone who truly loves cats, it’s been such a heartwarming experience . There’s just something about having a furry little companion that makes everything feel a bit more manageable, especially on the hard days. My new cat has brought so much light, comfort, and energy into my daily routine. Every time I feel sad, anxious, or overwhelmed, just spending a few minutes with my pet helps me breathe easier and feel grounded again. Cats may be quiet and independent, but their presence has a such a calming power.Mine gives me strength in ways I didn’t expect—reminding me to slow down, enjoy the moment, and find joy in simple things.

Let me introduce you to my newest little baby. He’s black kitten, and I named him “Toothless” after the adorable dragon in the movie How to Train Your Dragon.Just like the character, He’s dark, adorable and full of charm. He’s playful, curious, and always follows me around like a shadow. Having him around fills my home with life and laughter. Watching him play or curl up next to me when I’m working is such a sweet reminder of how beautiful the little things in life can be.

Welcome to the Hive community @itsmelyn!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your password or keys; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
