Preggo on a Food Trip at BGC Taguig in 2019: M. Bakery New York and Manam Comfort Filipino
I was about 4-5 months pregnant in September 2019 when I went to Manila to do some paperwork. A friend of mine told me that whenever he is around in Manila every time I fly there, I should send him a message and do a meet-up. Good timing that he wasn't traveling so we had the chance to spend time together and talk about our life and travel updates.
Yrwin is a good friend of mine, I met him through an FB travel group but we met in person, in Taiwan, the moment I spent my first 25 days in Taipei back in 2017. We went to a nightclub and met a lot of people, that's for another travel blog.
M. Bakery New York
Since I was pregnant, my friend picked me up at my hotel so he invited me for dinner. It was my first time at BGC Taguig so it felt like I was in a different country. Even though I've been to many huge cities like Tokyo, Taipei, and Bangkok, being at BGC Taguig felt like I was a girl from the province or a probinsyana. Hehe!
We just walked around BGC and went inside a shopping mall. We passed by M. Bakery as this is originally from New York. He bought some desserts for his family before going home.
I was tempted to buy that it was too much for me to eat sweets as a pregnant woman. Haha!
Well, look at the price, it was expensive. But I bet delicious!
And look at the Devil's Food Cupcake. Damn, temptation! Stay away from me. Hahaha!
Manam Comfort Filipino
My friend asked me which international cuisines I would love to try. He could recommend different restaurants around BGC. He even knew some Taiwanese and Japanese restaurants around. As a pregnant woman, I was only craving for Filipino food. Hahaha! So we went to a Filipino restaurant.
Welcome to Manam Comfort Filipino Restaurant!
Let's take a selfie!
When we arrived, the restaurant was full-packed. Based on the reviews I read, a lot of people praised the food, the restaurant, and their services.
Pork meat with coconut milk. Not sure if this was Bicol Express. Lol, I forgot what we ordered. I wasn't familiar with Bicol Express.
Pork sisig, I personally chose this one because I love to try pork sisig every time I see it on a restaurant's menu.
Fresh lumpia, ah, it was so good.
And we also ordered mango milkshake with sago pearls.
I thank my friend, Yrwin, for this food treat. I was well-pampered at that time. The preggo mama was well-fed. Hahaha! I am so lucky to have this kind of friend.
Sana all with a friend like this. :D <3
