I'm disturbed about this new upcoming movie of a girl who lost her lady part because of a curse

Hear me out and let me rant here. I watched a trailer of an upcoming Filipino movie that is supposed to be a comedy, saying this is about WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, GENDER EQUALITY, and GENDER POLITICS ISSUES.

So, yeah, the movie should be just a FANTASY movie about a girl who lost her lady parts just because she insulted a transwoman in the WOMEN'S CR. XD

About the movie

"In Flower Girl, Sue (the girl actress in the Philippines) plays the role of a sanitary napkin endorser-slash-modern day Filipina named Ena, who has been busy balancing her personal and professional life. One day, she suddenly wakes up missing her lady part which is a consequence after offending a trans woman, (played by KaladKaren - a transwoman celebrity in the Philippines), in a women’s bathroom by telling her to transfer to the men’s room instead. The trans woman turns out to be a real-life babaylan who casts a curse on her. Now, Ena must find a genuine way to fall in love to avoid losing her lady parts forever."

You can see that in this movie, a normal real woman played by a beautiful Filipino actress got CURSED by a transwoman Shaman played by a transwoman celebrity.

A normal real woman - NO POWER
A transwoman Shaman - POWERFUL

My reaction on FB

So, I just watched a movie trailer about Sue Ramirez being cursed about losing her womanhood by a Babaylan played by Kaladkaren—a transwoman. While it's a comedy and a fantasy movie, it wasn't Sue's character choice to lose her womanhood but in REALITY, TRANSWOMEN have an option to lose their MANHOOD in exchange for a FAKE WOMANHOOD.

Meanwhile, world issues about FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION and NO ACCESS TO MENSTRUAL PADS are still EXISTENT.

I was at a gay club in Taiwan

I remember the time when I was at a gay club in Taipei, I went to the women's CR, but I was all alone in the empty female bathroom while the men's CR was full of gay people, transwomen, and drag queens and I heard them having fun in the men's CR.

I love that I have my own privacy in a women's CR, and they respect the fact that women's CRs are for women.

If the Shaman is powerful, why not create another toilet for LGBT people?

As shown in the photos above, I visited a Palawan establishment with toilets for GIRLS, BOYS, LESBIANS, and GAYS. For me, the more toilets, the better.

In reality, women's toilet is always full. Lesbians can use the women's toilet, so it is not a problem. But gays/transwomen can have their own toilet if they don't want to be at the men's toilet, THAT SOLVES THE PROBLEM.

I don't get the point of cursing a woman for losing her private part

I know that this is just a fantasy movie, not real. But I don't get the moral of the story of cursing a woman for losing her lady parts.

In reality, women have been suffering from their menstrual period and urinary tract infections. And I also shared above that girls who live in poor countries, like in South Africa, have problems with their reproductive health. And there's also female genital mutilation.

My reaction to this

"Now, Ena must find a genuine way to fall in love to avoid losing her lady parts forever."

Oh really? Why transwomen are willing to lose their manhood forever in exchange of a fake lady parts? I don't get it.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am critical of the storyline as I try to relate it to real-world issues.

Transwomen have more privileges than real natural women

And why do I say this?

Transwomen who were naturally-born men have more privileges and freedom than real natural women.

If you're born as a boy with no physical issues (I am not talking about mental health yet), you can earn more money, save more money, for s3x change or gender alignment procedures.

They have no issues with their menstrual period/cramps.

No problem with menstrual pads.

No need to be pregnant.

The more money they have, the greater their chances of being more feminine and sexy.

They are more powerful than natural women in terms of physical strength.

If they want to compete in women's category, transwomen can beat real natural women.

Do I need to explain more?

Having a s3x change from p3n!$ to v3gin@ or a pu$$y doesn't entitle you to be a woman or compete in the women's category. Why not make your category and compete with a fellow trans woman?

You are fighting for your rights to be a woman, but you're not solving REAL WOMEN ISSUES about female genital mutilation and menstrual pad issues in poor countries. To think, you have more freedom compared to those poor girls in poor countries.

I met a trans woman in Thailand

I was curious about her life; I call her Mamang. We talked about so many things, including her procedures from head to toe, her personal and TMI (too much information) life, and a mix of sad and happy stories. She has her money and sent her nephews/nieces to universities. But, at the end of the day, her passport gender status is MALE.

I have no problem being friends with trans women as I prefer to get to know them more about how they feel emotionally and how they live as a trans woman. I am not homophobic or transphobic. I have gay and lesbian friends. Knowing their past will make me feel more understanding of who they are today. Of course, they deserve respect as human beings.

Loopholes in the movie?

If I could watch the movie, I would question many things as I love to relate it to real-life situations. XD

Even though it would be just a fantasy movie, we should at least find the story's moral.

But we have to acknowledge that there are some girls or other women who are not comfortable being around LGBT people in general, for whatever reason they have.

Trans women are just men with mental illnesses. They are not women in any way shape or form. There is unbelievably very minimal people with true gender dysphoria that would fit what should be an incredibly small category. It’s a shame what a lot of this had turned into!

The movies that are being produced these days are quite a ways away from what we should be looking to for entertainment. The 90’s and early 2000’s had some of the best movies and it’s been downhill since 2015 or so.

The ladyboys in Thailand never insisted on being women. They will admit that they are ladyboys. No assumptions. I just don't understand the entitlement of other trans women.
