I Enjoyed this Home-Cooked Oven-Roasted Duck Legs and my Husband Loves It!
Hi, Hive friends! 2025 is being busy in our kitchen. Oh, how fun it is to cook even though I am not a good cook.
So, my husband bought 4 cuts of Duck Legs. This is not my first time doing this, but I got to take photos to share here on Hive.
Get a big plate to prepare
4 duck legs are being laid on the big plate. I cut 2 big onions and crushed 5 gloves of garlic.

Poured pineapple juice in the plate
Since I have no time to marinate this in 30 minutes, my secret sauce for this oven-roasted duck leg is to pour pineapple juice.
Season it with salt, pepper, thyme
I just sprinkled salt, pepper, and thyme here.

Drop some two or three pieces of Laurel leaves
I suggest pouring a little olive oil onto this plate because the meat of the duck leg releases grease/fat/oil when cooking.
Add a little water for the sauce with the pineapple juice which was initially poured on the plate.
Drop two pieces of laurel leaves.
Put the plate in the preheated oven
The oven was pre-heated 10 minutes earlier at 205 degrees Celsius.
I set the timer to 15 minutes so that I can turn the meat, and marinate the meat with the juice while cooking.
Cooking time is 2 hours: 1st 15 minutes, turn, 2nd 15 minutes, turn the meat, 3rd 15 minutes, turn the meat, and the last 15 minutes.
Voila, it's cooked and ready to eat!
My husband had the same reaction as the first. He loved it. The meat was soft and easy to chew in the mouth. At first, I didn't believe how impressed he was but I forgot to tell him that I put pineapple juice in it. Hahaha!
I never tried to include fresh sliced pineapple. I would love to try it next time.
I wouldn’t be a fan of having pineapples in my roasted duck but oh my god! this just looks too damn delicious 🤤
It was surprisingly delicious 😀
It looks absolutely delicious, and I can appreciate how the pineapple would give it a lovely aroma and taste. We don't live in a part of the world where duck legs are a cut of meat you can buy (whole ducks, frozen only) but I imagine it would work with chicken legs.
Yes, it will work with chicken legs. I first tasted the duck meat in Taiwan. It was good with all the Asian style of cooking.
Yum! I can already kinda taste it haha. How big are those ducks?🤣
Haha I should have taken a photo with my hand for a comparison. But the duck legs are big, bigger than my small hands. Maka busog.

I haven't tried duck meat yet, but it really looks like a chicken lang. Pero i'm not sure if I'll ever want to try it 🤔🤔🤔.
Masarap ang duck meat, very typical sa mga Chinese restaurant. Na try ko din rabbit meat dito. 😆
Ehhhhh, but lot of people is saying na masarap daw rabbit meat and more nutritious daw. Pero kawawa namanaaaaaa 😭😭
Roasted duck is taking time longer but I am sure the taste is heavenly good!
I have the same cooking time as the roasted chicken and roasted pork. But yeah, duck meat is heavenly good. :😀
It looks delicious, what a great recipe, I would like to try some.
I'll have to look for a duck to satisfy my hunger.
