Hi Hive friends!

Let me share some photos I found on my iPad and the stories behind them.

I wondered why I never deleted all these photos, but it's good to share the story here on Hive.

I was already working online and an active traveler.

I met this girl who was one of the volunteers of the non-profit organization we joined.

One time, she posted on Facebook who was interested in being one of the mystery guest shoppers.

I joined because they were a mystery shopping to do in Cebu.

I forgot how much I was paid, but I remember that every time I visited an establishment, I spent more than I was compensated for the task. Hahaha!

So, here are the places I visited in Cebu for the mystery guest shopper task.

Rustan's Ayala—I bought a makeup and facial cleansing kit. LOL, it was so expensive. I have a copy of the receipt, as I needed to show it to the client. I had to review the pharmacy at Rustan's Ayala.

Rose Pharmacy Ayala—I bought Dove soap, eyeliner, and feminine soap. Okay, it wasn't expensive, but it was a basic need.

Watson's Pharmacy in Carcar—From my hometown, I had to take a minicab passing by San Fernando to arrive in Carcar. I then had to visit another pharmacy at Savemore Supermarket in Carcar. I also bought basic hygienic care needs, so it wasn't all that expensive.

It was a pleasant experience, but the pay was not that much. I just did it for the experience. It was good to get out anyway and it wasn't that expensive to get around.

Have you experienced the mystery shopping job? How was it in your country?

That sounds like such a fun and unique experience! I love that even though the compensation wasn’t much, you still took it as an opportunity to explore and enjoy new places — especially in beautiful Cebu! Sometimes those little adventures, even if not profitable, end up giving us the best memories and stories. I’ve never tried mystery shopping myself, but now I’m super curious about how it works in other countries too. Thanks for sharing your photos and memories — I really enjoyed reading your post! 😊✨
