Hi Hive friends!

I found old photos on my iPad, and I'll gladly share them here on Hive.

Back in Cebu, Japanese and Filipino businessmen owned the first Maid Cafe.

If you're a fan of Japanese anime, you might be familiar with a Japanese anime character wearing a maid uniform.

This is the concept of the Maid Cafe.

A maid cafe already exists in Japan to serve entertainment for its guests.

I went to a maid cafe in Tokyo in 2015.

This maid cafe was named CosCafe, a short for Cosplay Cafe.

Most of the guests were into anime and cosplaying.

I remember attending a few cosplaying events in Cebu with my friends back in the day.

My other friends were the hardcore cosplayers.

In this maid cafe, I enjoyed my chocolate milkshake, rainbow cake, chocolate cupcake, and Katsudon.

Oh, so expensive to be here.

But it was nice to spend my time here with friends.

Right now, this maid cafe no longer exists.

This was a long time ago.

But many times, I spent my days here when I was looking for a place with Wi-Fi as a digital nomad.

Sometimes I spent half day here for work to have some alone time.

There was AC, nice ambiance, nice internet connection, and me time.

That's all for today's blog.

Have you been to Japanese Maid Cafe?

How was your experience?

Ciao! See you on the next blog.
