Hi, Hive friends!

Let me show you a few photos of El Nido town, not the beach photos.

This was in July 2017, so most of the photos are cloudy and gray.

It was raining during that time.

Anyway, I can have some personal comments about El Nido town.

Many tourists arrive in El Nido.

The first time I was there in 2014, I could say that El Nido town was a bit chaotic.

I am shocked to see a town in disarray.

So many buildings of hotels and restaurants popping around.

I think before tourism, El Nido was peaceful, and people lived simply.

There are still issues with water in El Nido, as there is no access to clean water.

That's why you need to buy bottled mineral water and use it even for brushing your teeth.

I got sick in El Nido in 2018 because of a stomach problem, and I vomited.

During that time, the internet was really bad, so it was expected to be off-grid and just enjoy El Nido when the sky was blue.

There was no good hospital, so in case of emergency, you have to go to Puerto Princesa by bus or by van for 6 hours.

Yes, it's a beautiful tourist destination that's a PRO, but the CONS, these photos and what I am writing, are the reality.

There are many things to improve in El Nido if the government sets rules and regulations and invests in proper medical care in the area.

The last time I was in El Nido was in 2019, same weather as this. We stayed for three weeks in El Nido with my husband, where we found out I was pregnant with our first child.

Someday, we will explore more of Palawan as a family.

That's it for today's blog.

Ciao!
