You're the kind of friend everyone would love to have. I think she saw that in you and decided to make use of the opportunity and you outdid yourself.
Regardless, that doesn't change who you are or your kind heart. It just puts you in a position to scrutinize anyone who wants to come close "as a friend."

I get that a lot, the more reason why it's hard for me to open up, because when I do, It is with all my heart, and getting betrayed at the end of the day hurts a lot.
I would rather confront someone who hurt me than keep malice.
