Garden Journal: 50% Still Progress

garden.jpg

Have you ever thought that an inventor of the lamp, Thomas Alva Edison, if he stopped trying at the 2000th experiment, maybe we would be in the dark ages. You can't even read at night because there is no light until now. He succeeded in the 9998th experiment and changed the world.

From the many failures made by the inventor, we should remain enthusiastic about progressing. Progress is still progress, as long as you are comfortable doing it and hope for success, it will make each stage get a conclusion. I've heard, it's okay if you fail, even though you always fail, you are still successful as a failure.

The statement above supports something that happened in my garden this time. I am still progressing in the 3rd batch of planting hydroponic vegetables in 2025. It has entered 3 periods and currently all my hydroponic vegetables are still in the 50% process. It has entered the second week, where almost all of them succeeded in this stage.

Sometimes I feel like muttering that I'm so tired, especially in the early stages of seeding, that's the part I fear the most in every process. When it's been 2 weeks which means it's 50%, then I'll be very happy. Sometimes, little things make us proud of ourselves, achievements that are drained from sweat to tears.

Why do you think I'm always worried about progress from 0 to 50%? I think it's common when we feel like we're starting from the bottom and we're afraid of failure. Failure does take time, but without failure there's no comparison to success. How can it be said to be successful if there's no indicator of failure?

This time, all my vegetables grew, although some of them disappeared because they were hit by a lot of natural selection. For example, from seeds that didn't grow because the seeding process failed, until finally they had 2 leaves and continued to grow. Having strong roots and then surviving the weather. They can live strong even with minimal help. Thank you, my garden.

That's why from the beginning I emphasized, 50% is still progress. There is no more beautiful word when we are grateful for what we have started, never give up. Sometimes positive affirmations about what we do become the beginning of success. Especially if it is related to other living things.

In my opinion, the essence of planting, whatever the plant, is about our belief in what we have started. If you think they will live and continue to process, even if it starts from 0 then everything will be fine if we continue to progress.

You should be very proud of yourself. Sometimes fearing failure and DOING IT ANYWAY is the bravest thing ever.

Shouldn't we always be proud of ourselves? Failure is not the most annoying thing in the world but giving up is the scariest thing in my version.

I guess when we fail, we feel disappointed, but we should feel good about the effort, right?

I think the seeds have the determination to survive more than we give them credit. It is always a blessing to see them survive and become beautiful plants for us to enjoy. The plants all look so healthy. Are you foliar feeding them while in the hydroponics as well as the fertilizer in the water.?

I only fertilize the roots, not adding anything except natural pesticides (like garlic air) to protect it from pests.

Thank you, I don't have pests to worry about since I am in the greenhouse, but I could see where you might considering your climate. I started mine two days ago, now it is time to wait for the harvest. I really enjoy your postings. ♥
